RT @ReggieRankin: UNC-CHARLOTTE HC Alan Major has picked up a commitment from 6’3 combo guard Jesse Pistokache. Hearing good things on this kid. @ESPNRNHoops
sort of doubt that jesse is half Lakota, but "Hau, Kola" in that language means something like, Welcome, Friend. a greeting to a friend.
but i don’t have any idea how jesse identifies, so i probably should keep my greetings to myself, except to say “WELCOME!”
I am intrigued as well… a positive attitude, great court vision and a solid handle.

I’m going to be intrigued by our next signee that can hit at least 75% FTs.

Yea haven’t had one of those in a while. 75% FT’s to 60% would add 4 or 5 more wins for just about any team. They’re called FREE for a reason. Same distance, same height, same ball. It’s hilarious how an athletic good eye hand coordination individual can be so bad at the foul line. We are not alone amongst other teams, for overall %'s have gone steadily down (from what I’ve read) for many years now.
i would like to know what he is hearing. not sarcasm, just curious. so we have two scholarships left. kaleb johnson appears to be our top target. is simeon carter 2015? if so, id love to see us make a run at him, or terrence phillips. hey moss, could you start a thread for that euro big that you posted about in the shoutbox?
Not impressed with this kid. Not sure how much run he will get here.
I’d kinda like to see him play before I draw opinions. There is no substitute for being able to shoot, looks like he can and get his own shot off the dribble. We’ll see
i am not saying i agree or disagree but could you further elaborate? i am a bit skeptical just because of his lack of offers but i trust the staff’s judgement.
Someone bookmark this post. I assume you just watched the youtube vid.
Going to laugh when you are dead wrong.

I"ll go with the coaching staff, they seem to have a pretty good track record when it comes to recognizing talent.
If he can create his own shot and distribute the ball to the players we have he is exactly what we need… that and a good attitude. I am hopeful that he can play at a high major level… if so i will be very happy with him as a Niner.
…that he shot 88% from the charity stripe his junior season is music to my ears!!!
got a good feeling about this kid. some obvious talent, basketball skills, good attitude, high character.
southern pines, come back and inform us. you might be right! what did you see…or did’t see?
Hard to knock this staff when evaluating talent. We’ll see what he can do in the Fall next year, playing time will be available.

I’ve seen guys with his skillsets go either way. But I’d rather he had them now verses being a late bloomer. What we don’t know and what I think is the most important is a “basketball IQ”. From the video he seems to have it but you can’t be sure. We’ll just have to wait and see.
I have high regard for this staff’s ability to identify talent. Welcome aboard Mr. Pistokache!
