This is HUGE! We have a serious shot at landing this guy. He is an “explosive” 6’8" 230 lb power forward. Hes ranked #14 overall and the THIRD best pf in the 2007 class! He is being recruited by brand new assistant Chris Cheeks

have i told anyone that i love chris cheeks. this guy is absolutely amazing. its good to see bobby change the air filters of assitant coaches. we had some dirt build up on the old ones. i think these air filters are going to breathe clean and easy for a long time.

does the guy have any connections to cheeks or is he just being recruited by him? Anyone can recruit someone and that doesn’t mean they have a good chance at landing him.

Yeah it’s good to hear we are getting involved with this kid. But his list of Schools is just about everyone in the top 25

Max, recruiting is worrying about kids that you don’t have yet in the hope that they attend your school. If coaches didn’t recruit and inform players about their school then I’d hate to see the players on those teams. If you don’t care about recruiting just don’t read or post in recruiting threads, nobody will hate on you for that.

So max, do you not care about a game until the buzzer sounds at the end and there is a final score? No, you get excited throughout the game because you know anything can happen, and your team has a chance to win.
Recruiting is the same thing. Recruiting a top 25 kid is like playing a top 25 program. You know that team will be REALLY hard to beat, but you cheer your team on knowing you have a chance, just like we are getting excited about recruiting this Hickson kid, we know we have a chnace at siging him.
Very well said Chisox, recruiting can be be a lot of fun, kind of like saying wait until next year, well you can sort of see into the future.

The Beasley thing may sting, but let it go. It’s not worth getting jaded over.

Point 2. Beasley brought us a ton of attention that our play may or may not have merited. The guy was a PR machine for the Niners in everything. Even the way things are working out, we get portrayed as victimized by the cycle. He’s been good to our program, we haven’t had any violations or problems with him. Lets take the gains and use them.
Point 3. It’s good to see that kids in the upper echelon are noticing our school. 20 years ago nobody wanted to be here. Now kids at least notice us.
I think big time recruits are starting to see why a player like Beasley would want to come here. Believe it or not Charlotte has a lot of positives for star players.

Lets right the ship here, this thread is about hickson. Hickson may be a one and done but would probably stay at least 2 years. Hickson, Jones, and Harmon would be simply amazing

If you showed me that video and didnt tell me who it was i would think that he was curtis withers brother. their games are VERY similar.
