Plus giving an unproven coach a 5 year deal on top of it all. It just doesn’t add up. judy rose if you cared at all about charlotte athelitics you will retire or resign.
Not going to happen. Judy has too much support from big $ alumni including our biggest who just named the field house for Judy. Judy will likely retire a 49er.

What length contract should she have gave Major? Anything less than five, who reasonable person would take that??
To replace Judy with an AD from an FBS school with winning programs would cost us a minimum of twice what she makes. When we have to hire a new AD it will either need to be a promote from within hire, or an up-and-comer ready for a chance to lead a school like ours. So either start upping your annual contributions or hope that Judy stays around for a while because we cannot afford to replace her with anyone that has the connections, experience, or success that she has had.

And while we desperately need the several big name contributors we have, it is the top 500 contributors that are the engine that keeps us moving forward.
This. As long as the majority of our funding comes from students the AD is safe.

I was curious about consistent donors, not one time donors (not to mention the stadium still doesn’t have a name). Maybe McColl and Richardson are frequent givers, but I haven’t heard that before.
This is all you need to know:
Our contributions are about half of where they were 5 years ago. Football is the only reason they are as high as they are and that is the sport they had to be forced into. Student fees make up over half of our total rev.
There are reason for Judy to stay and reasons for her to retire. This is the biggest and most important in my mind.

You might want to check this. M and R gave some, but the majority of the $$$ given (to name the field after them was from “others” who asked for the field to be named after them) similar to what Halton did for Judy with the fieldhouse.

Sorry, just clarifying since you insinuated that M and R were suddenly big donators to our AD. They are not.
