if this guy shot threes and rebounded than i would be a little more optimistic about him possibly coming here but a pf who never got more than six rebounds in a game is very discouraging. i would rather lutz and the staff just recruit a high school kid like kelly or chadwick. if we cant land one of those guys then we have a problem.

Youāre mostly only able to compare his freshman season stats in the ACC. Somebody who started 10 games as a freshman has an upside in my opinion.
I don't think anyone here wants to avoid the guy because of his injury. To put it bluntly: I don't want a 3 point shooting big man. It doesn't matter who he is. I don't want a 6'8 PF that can only shoot the 3 ball. I think most people on here feel the same way, but I don't want to speak for anyone else.Learn to play inside if youāre 6ā8 and a PF, or donāt come here, in my opinion. Iām sure heās a great, nice, awesome guy, but there would be no room for a 3 point shooting PF on my dream team.

It seems clear to me that Powell has the talent level to contribute. Itās mostly a matter of how will he recover from the injury.
If you noticed, he said a PF that can only shoot the three ball.
