He was the AD at Northwestern when White was there. But CLT probably already knew that and was just dissing the ACC.

Never got a response to my initial email when I pointed out that references to Whiteās first alma mater need to include the entire name. Otherwise, just bad optics and a real lack of understanding if not corrected. 
The Chattanooga, Tenn., native, earned a bachelorās degree from the University of North Carolina (ā01), where he was a member of the junior varsity basketball team. He also earned a masterās degree at Georgia State (ā10) and an MBA at Kennesaw State (ā12).

Charlotte has officially signed new AD Kevin White to a five-year contract running through June 2031, according to documents obtained by CollegeAD , which reports the deal includes a $500K baseline salary for Whiteās first year with an annual 4% increase and up to $150K in available incentives. The contract also features a built-in window to discuss a potential extension between May and August 2028, as well as a $50K retention bonus if he remains in the role on July 1, 2030. If White were to leave before his contract is up, he would owe the following buyout: On or before June 30, 2028: 100% of remaining salary. On or before June 30, 2030: 75% of remaining salary. On or after July 1, 2030: 50% of remaining salary." Should the university part ways with White without cause, it would owe the remainder of Whiteās salary for the contract plus any previously earned bonuses.

Credit where credit is due. White ran the tightest, most efficient HC search weāve seen in two decades and made a solid hire. After apparently securing funds to assist with firing Fearne. He deserves a gold star for how he has handled MBB so far. Breath of fresh air compared to Mike Hill.

It really is refreshing to make quick descisions and a good hire. Having the marketing and ticket sales dialed in to match is excellent as well. Hopefully that Kevin really is going to move us beyond the mom and pop AD weāve had for so long.

I think that is the way everyone saw it. Retire or get fired and now 7 years later she still thinks she is in charge
