Well, I think what he said is that he was “The best player on the best team in the state”. Meaning Northside was the best team and Woods the best player on it (over St Joes recruit, Demery). I think he clearly stated Pinson, who’s going to Chapel Hill is the best player in the state.
Back in November, Pinson and Woods went head-to-head and NCA won. While Pinson was very talented, Woods outscored him and played within his means. The takeaway I had after game was that Pinson played out of control and made several stupid long 3 pointers, but committed more turnovers and bad shots.
