KY post game

Do we even have one of those commercials that most schools have with the powerful voice, images of buildings, statues, lectures and sporting events?

You would think we would want to highlight things like EPIC to the masses.
This was shown to the BOG when they met on campus. It’d need to be edited down for television, but I think it’s pretty well done.

You could take the Intro to that video and add 5 to 10 seconds inviting students to come join us for their education and it would be 1 million times better than the norm laundry room video. The fact that this video exists just disappoints me even more.

That means that whoever is in charge of our sports marketing, which ultimately is our AD and staff, doesn’t care enough to look for an alternative. An alternative that’s sitting there ready for the taking!!!

It’s mind boggling.

Sorry to interfere with this hijacked thread, BUT…correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t this the first game we’ve played during which it snowed? Put that in the “Book of Firsts for NINER Football”.

The last part of your post tells the story. You stated “funny enough for a low-cost production kinda deal”.

Why is our primary sport marketing video a low budget kinda deal???

Review this economic impact study results and tell me if you really think we should have a low budget commercial.

I’m sure your trying to be nice, but frankly the video is something a student might put together.

It literally shows 2 seconds of footage of our campus from the front door of the student union with a subtitle that actually says “UNC Charlotte Campus”.

That part feels tacked on like whoever made the commercial said “oh shit we didn’t show the campus at all” we blew all our time on norms shrunken jersey".

I constantly see this posted on boards and said by people who first visit our campus. “Wow, I didn’t know this school had such a nice campus”.

How can we expect anyone to know about this nice campus of every time we have a television audience we show norm the niner in a laundry room?

The real issue here boils down to something my first manager told me once. He said if you don’t take yourself seriously then why should you expect anyone else too?

How can you expect that video to have any impact at all when its a complete low budget joke?

We are on ESPN Wednesday afternoon vs Syracuse. If they play the Norm in the laundry room commercial during that broadcast, what do you think all the people watching are going to take away from the spot??

Not perfect but 10,000 times better than the laundry room.
