Lamont “Mo Mo” Jones Oak Hill PG - 2009

IF Jones comes here, that would be two years in a row of VT-decommits coming to Charlotte.

Might lessen the blow of losing out on Deron Washington and Victor Davilla.

And David Diakite and JT Thompson.

and Lorenzo Hudson, correct?

Yep. Literally over a third of their team is guys we recruited.

Who do they think they are? Clemson?

LOL between VT and Clemson, you could field a damn good team of all the guys we recruited!

Surprised Run hasn’t beaten me and mentioned Marshall too.

Id rather him be here, but if he goes to socal and takes all of Transferrity’s minutes away, that would be almost as pleasing.

He will leave USC before he lets someone take minutes that are rightfully his.

Adam Zagoria on the possible fallout if Floyd leaves Southern Cal for Arizona…

Another player who could be impacted is Oak Hill Academy point guard Lamont “Momo” Jones of Harlem, who had been leaning toward USC but could now reconsider.

Don’t know if this was posted or not-

“Lamont Jones of Oak hill academy Is Visiting the University of Southern Cal April 10-11. He plans to sign with a school on April 17 at the Jordan Brand Game at MSG, according to Oak Hill coach Steve Smith. Asked where Jones will end up, Smith said, “Most likely USC.” Jones recently decommitted from Virginia Tech. He previously decommited from Louisville. Twice.”

There’s little to no chance of him coming here, Steve Smith already hates us.

Since when?

Since when?
That was my question too. Is there something we don't know about?
Since when?

Okay maybe hate is too strong of a word, but I’ve heard he’s not necessarily recommending us because of the gripes he had about Dee Tolliver not seeing a lot of playing time here.

Dee Toliver got what he earned. He was an Ian-caliber player (with a better shooting %) on teams with more talent than we have currently. Ian would not have seen the floor much on the teams Dee was on, either. Jobey came in a year after Dee did, and Dee’s PT was forever gone after that. We went to the NCAA Tourney 3 out of the 4 seasons Dee was here, and to the second round at that. Steve Smith’s gripe about that is fruitless, as he would have played the better players also.
I have a feelin that this guy will not spend 4 years at one college
I was thinking the same thing.

LOL if that’s what he’s mad about, he needs to get over it. Dee Toliver made Ian Andersen look like Dwayne Wade. Dee is a great guy, but was only good enough for walk-on type minutes. Who was he supposed to get minutes over? Jobey? Demon? Diego?

Whooooooooooa, there. Dee was behind alot of talent, no doubt. But, he was a career 42% shooter from the arc, where Ian’s best season ever has been 37%. I think we can agree that neither of them provide much else on a basketball court. I know Dee didnt play much, but one thing I remember…when he was open, he hit shots.

Kyle Church also makes open shots. I like Dee a lot, I’m just sayin…
