I have a Dee Toliver jersey… I’m just sayin…
Kyle Church also makes open shots.
Would be a better point if he wasn’t a 5’9’’ walk on who cant get a shot off
Dee and Ian are similar sizes. Except one was a better shooter. I dont care either way. But, I can say, that no living human can make Ian look anything like Dwayne Wade…a dead guy would be more of a possibility.
I’ll let this thread go and let it be more about MoMo…who seems like he could go anywhere but here, unfortunately.

Whoa. I wouldnt go that far. Ha.
LOL if that's what he's mad about, he needs to get over it. Dee Toliver made Ian Andersen look like Dwayne Wade. Dee is a great guy, but was only good enough for walk-on type minutes. Who was he supposed to get minutes over? Jobey? Demon? Diego?
You’re nuts. Dee Toliver was light years ahead of Andersen in talent. Toliver was stuck between a rock and a hard place, because Jobey was so good for us, but it might have been smart for Bobby to utilize Dee more for recruiting relationship sake. I too have heard the same thing that Ballin’ had heard. Dee was one of Steve Smith’s favorite players.
Dee’s lateral quickness was bad, but he had pretty good jumping ability and a very quick release. He would have starred for us last season, which says a lot about our current talent level.
Dee had the highest vertical on the team at least one year. I believe he went back to Oak Hill as an asst. coach. He also had a job with the Niners for a year or so (Director of player personnel or something). I would like to know what he is doing now.

Yes- Tolliver could flat out light it up. He was slow, that was his issue.
And yes again, he would be a tremendous upgrade over Ian. Very telling about where this program is now.
Jones was on ESPN 2 this morning and will be on again tomorrow afternoon. He looked very good, scoring 22 points to lead Oak Hill to the championship game. If he were to come to Charlotte there is almost no way he would be sitting behind Harris on the bench.

No chance in that happening, whoever comes here will sit behind Harris, unless it’s John Wall.
You don’t bench a PG who was top 5 in assists in the nation and right up there in A/TO ratio, especially for an unproven frosh.
He would get PT his frosh year, but he wouldn’t start.

Problem is he will be able to go to USC and start…what choice do you think he should make?

First of all, I don’t get where you think he will go into USC and be an immediate starter. Dwight Lewis and Daniel Hackett will both be seniors next year, and both logged 30+ minutes/game this year.
But regardless…
That’s up for him to decide. The thing is, SoCal is a long way from NYC. Bobby can pretty much guarantee Momo he will start 3 years @ Charlotte (if he delivers). Tim Floyd can’t. USC has been bringing in Mickey D AAs the past few years. They already have a PG coming in for 2010, and 2011, not to mention Gerrity being eligible next semester (although I doubt he starts regardless).
He can come here, learn from a true point, be nutured into the role of PG, and start his sophomore year, or he can go hack it at USC.
He will not come to a team with a record as bad as ours was last year and sit the bench. He’ll go somewhere else with a better record that he can get just as much PT.

That might not sit well with Transferrity!!!

I disagree. Harris will be a senior leader and most likely captain of the team next year. I don’t really see anybody coming in and taking his starting spot unless they were an absolute STUD.

Some people would probably scoff at the idea of Evans or Rose starting here as freshmen.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, you’re bringing up Memphis players? But seriously, those guys are STUDS, so I wouldn’t scoff at that idea.
I just think we have a tendancy to overrate Harris. Yes he drops a lot of dimes, but he is closer to Wojo than Williams.

He was the manger if the Nike store in concord mills but in august on my way to charleston SC I stopped at that open air mall/outlet before you get there and went into the Nike store there and there he was again…helped me find a good deal on shoes.
Why aren’t we on Lamont’s rivals page or espn scouting page?

I’m pretty sure we were listed on the schools he was considering when Oak Hill was on ESPN today. It said CHAR…Where was that on Thursday night hahha.
