I think Charlie is going to join the others. We’ve seen everyone dumping on him and how no one believes him anymore. He’s upset, frustrated, etc. At the end of the most recent episode he pulled his hoodie up over his head, just like Anakin Skywalker.

Charlie is going to the dark side. And he’ll probably be redeemed/saved/brought back to the good side, just like Luke did to Vader.

That would be pretty sweet.

I read that kinda fast and at first I thought you said “masturbating”.

Obviously he’s masturbated many times while watching this show…
mmmmmm kate… Or I might be being presumptuous…mmmmmmm Sawyer…

Lost wasn’t on the air in India, so I’m catching up thanks to the joys of torrent files…

I don’t think it’ll be long before we see a serious Locke and Eko smack down. Both are huge on faith, but in polar opposites. Locke has faith in the island, Eko faith in God. At times I actually thought was the Serpent in the Garden of Eden a few times during the episode.

Someone left a ton of cookies on my desk. I think I’m being tempted too.

Well I thought I had last night’s episode all figured out. I knew it wasn’t one of the others who tried to kidnap Sun, I knew Sawyer was trying to con the woman out of her money, but I didn’t see Sawyer coning everyone on the island. What I thought was going to be an average show really turned up a notch towards the end. Personally I think Sawyer’s life on the beach might get tough. The guy’s a jerk and he won’t be getting any help if he ever needs it.

Next week looks good, can’t wait to see what happens when the clock ticks down to zero.

He can be a jerk if he’s the Dictator and get away with it, as long as he has the power that is(guns).

I’m surprised no one has mentioned that the waitress in the diner when Sawyer was meeting with his partner was Kate’s mom.

Also the music at the end that they picked up on the radio was The Glen Miller Orchestra “Moonlight Serenade”. Glen Miller was on a plane that disappeared in 1944.

Can somebody recap the last show…I was at the game and forgot all about it.

Interesting Jimmy… I thought Hurley’s “or any time” comment was interesting as well when they were listening the radio.

Here’s a little Glen Miller info for those of you who might be interested. I’m surprised there isn’t more made of this mystery, like the Amelia Earhart mystery.

In 1942, at the peak of his civilian career, Glenn decided he could better serve those in uniform by putting one on himself. By doing this, the band gave up a $20,000 weekly income. Too old to be drafted at age 38, Glenn first volunteered for the Navy but was told that they didn’t need his services. Not giving up, Glenn wrote to the Army’s Brigadier General Charles Young on August 12, 1942. Miller persuaded the Army to accept him so he could in his own words, “put a little more spring into the feet of our marching men and a little more joy into their hearts and to be placed in charge of a modernized army band.” After being accepted in the Army, Glenn’s civilian band played their last concert in Passaic, New Jersey on September 27th, 1942. It was such a sad event that the band couldn’t finish playing the closing theme song, Moonlight Serenade.

Glenn soon became part of the Army Specialists Corps with the rank of captain. For the next year and a half, besides arranging music, Glenn created and directed his own 50-member band. Captain Miller’s mission was morale building, bringing a touch of home to the troops and modernizing military music. Glenn was also a talented fund raiser, and raised millions of dollars in war bond drives. He also attracted Air Corps recruits through his I Sustain the Wings weekly radio broadcasts.

Still wanting to do more, Glenn arranged for overseas duty for the band. Arriving in London, the band was quartered at 25 Sloane Street, an area in constant barrage by German V-1 buzz bombs. Glenn was immediately concerned for the band and made arrangements for the unit to move to new quarters in Bedford, England. The band moved on July 2, 1944, and the very next day a buzz bomb landed in front of their old quarters, destroying the building and killing 100 people. The Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band was extremely busy and Glenn wrote home that in one month they played at 35 different bases, while performing 40 radio broadcasts in their spare time.

Finally, on December 15, 1944, Glenn boarded a single engine C-64 Norseman aircraft to travel to Paris, France where he was to make arrangements for a Christmas broadcast. Tragically, the plane never reached France and was never found.

Very slow episode tonight…
Another very interesting Kate tie in tonight with her step dad and Said.
I’ll be very curious to see what all the hard core fans make of the symbols that showed up after they let the counter hit 00000. I made the symbols out to be a 2 mushroom clouds, a missle, a bird and a missle or needle of some sort. Who the hell knows what it all means, but someone will come up with a reasonable explaination.

It is interesting how they are revealing how dark and evil Sawyer in the last 2 episodes, after they made him out to be a nice guy with a rough exterior. I think that will be one of the more interesting things to play out.

Was definitely a little slow but not a letdown episode. I really enjoy the background stuff with Sayid. His story is one of the more interesting ones in my opinion.

Good catch on the symbols. The mushroom clouds and bird were pretty clear but not sure what the others were. Didn’t the clock reset back to the numbers though after the symbols appeared? Will be intriguing to see how that plays out and Locke’s involvement with it.

I’m just happy that we had an episode with very little focus on Charlie, who’s character really annoys me.

The frog scene with Sawyer was harsh. That look on Hurley’s face was priceless and I think he saw just how sadistic and cold Sawyer can be.

How far are we through the season? Just curious how many more episodes there are and what type of buildup/cliffhanger we’ll be left with.

Crap, I can’t believe I missed that that was Kate’s dad. I just wish the writers would follow the cardinal Lost rule and that is that Kate should be in every episode!!! She got no face time at all.

Is anyone else getting tired of Jack? The guy is getting on my nerves. He wants to build an army yet he’s willing to trust everyone that walks into the camp? That doesn’t make sense. I think Jack has control issues.

Jack should have had the following conversation with Sayid.

Jack: Sayid, how many years have you tortured people?
Sayid: Six years.
Jack: During those six years do you think you can determine if someone is lying or telling the truth?
Sayid: Yes, this guy is lying, he’s an other.
Jack: Ok, works for me, lets kill the guy.

I think it will be interesting to see what happens with this guy. Funny he didn’t seem to have a clue where he was when he was put inside the armory. I wonder if the others really know how many bunkers there really are?

I noticed the preview for the next episode said “coming up on lost” instead of “next week on lost”… I guess that means next week is another repeat?

Yep, they’re showing the series pilot next week so we’ll have to wait a little while for a new one.
