Any word on if State is looking at Lutz to fill their coaching vacancy? I’m surprised he isn’t on their short list.
Doesn’t appear on any their choices as of now.
They’ve discussed him a number of times on the State board and some of the “insiders” claim the adminstration there doesn’t like him. Don’t know if it’s true or not.
Fowler would be burned at the stake if he hired Lutz. State fans are delusional as to what type of coach they deserve. (meaning anything less than John Wooden isn’t acceptable to them)
won’t happen.
I’m pretty sure they are getting John Wooden.
John Wooden is a more likely choice for a 5-year contract in Raleigh. Lutz has not been contacted (yet).
If Lutz would have beaten them last year and finished strong this year, he would have been on the second list, IMO.
Board of trustees will approve Lavin this Thurs or Friday.

He took an awful Fordham team two years ago and made them into a pretty solid force in the A10 by the end of this season. He has instant name recognition and should be able to recruit well for his alma mater.

Beilen announced he was out in a press interview a couple of weeks ago not long after my birthday. I believe it was around the 24th of April. He said the money was interesting but he loves working with WVU too much.
Yeah, I’m a little late to the draw. Any clue to who is on their short list now?
