It will be interesting to see how the team responds to this. I’m not sure how popular Demario was in the locker room, but the guys certainly seem to get along. It would be easy to be despondent and pout about the situation. I know that was my initial reaction. The situation does suck, there’s no 2 ways about it. But you can either let it bury you, or you can resolve to better than that.
I know one thing is for certain. We will not get any sympathy from our opponent Saturday or their fanbase. They too lost one of their leading scorers, who was also a veteran leader. Unlike us, it wasn’t by his personal actions / irresponsibility.
Also, I guess this means a lot more court time for Evic, and I am guessing Benny as well, though that remains to be seen.
