did i offend you by not saying “us” or “we”?
boeheim selected hopkins to replace him when he retires at syracuse, i would say that is huge.
You always refer to us in 2nd person and no that’s not an insult. Don’t get so damn defensive again. My question is how you know this information. Are you close to their program or something.
I hope this guy is our #1 pick if we’re not going after Kelsey. I think he’s > Shyatt and Dooley, and much > Peterson.

my bad, i prolly took it the wrong way.
I grew up watching syracuse basketball and by no means am i close to the program. i have met both boeheim and hopkins several times. boeheim’s numbers speak for themseleves and for him to think highly of hopkins speaks volume. not saying hopkins would or wouldnt be a good HC but i do think he is the best name mentioned so far.
That brings us to Mike Hopkins, the successor to the Boeheim throne. There is no contract in place that guarantees Hopkins anything, but Dr. Darryl Gross seemingly gave his word despite famouslytaking it back the next day. Either way, it is hard to believe that Jim Boeheim will not be essentially naming the next head coach so there is no doubt that Jimmy is going with Mike, who will bring a coaching record of 0-0 to the position.

No chance mike hopkins comes here. He will be the coach for the Cuse when boehiem leaves without a doubt. Former cuse player…he’s waiting for his chance to coach there.
Is Boeheim leaving sometime soon? I don’t think so. He could always come here and be our coach and then go back to 'Cuse to take their HC job when Boeheim steps down. Then he’d have head coaching experience.

I wonder if Jim is hitting up Mike P’s buddy Mike Waters for some info.
He sounds like a much better choice than Buzz or Wojo.
Who is Mike Waters?
I like this guy. He’s a quality candidate. I’m impressed.
Who is Mike Waters?
Ask your boss. I’m pretty sure they went to school together. He actually ran a story on Beasley once and got into a spat with some people on here over our usage of ‘we’. It was pretty funny.
Just don’t see it happening
Just don’t see it happening
Why do you say that? This candidate sounds pretty good. Do you think he will stay at Cuse instead of moving to the sunny south?
Who is Mike Waters?
Isn’t he related to Roger Waters from Pink Floyd?
no, he’s related to the camera man mlb pitcher Kenny Rodgers attacked.
Well, yes, but not for that reason. He’s a good candidate, but being the “heir apparent” to a top 10 program and bolting for a smaller one just doesn’t seem logical. Boeheim is also in his 60’s so while he may coach for sometime, I don’t see it being too much longer. I think the idea that he could come coach here, flop, and kill his chances at the SU gig could be too much of a risk.
Boeheim is 66 I think,
Hopkins would be great but for how long
