i saw this kid play. he has good size and looks like a decent shot blocker but his offensive skills appear limited and he is kind of raw. i don’t know from the one time i saw him play if he is an a10 player. i wish he had gotten more touches so i could have gauged his talent better.

Yep, he followed up with a tweet that we have offered. He’s drawing ACC interest as well. 2011 is a weak class for bigs, so if he’s “blowing up,” there will be a lot of competition for his services.

I like the guy. He’s big, you cant teach 6’10’’ 240lbs. Primarily a defender, shot blocker, rebounder at this point, but he seems like he has greatly improved lately and is a work in progress. Hopefully, Major can teach him some tricks on the offensive end.
Actually, reading up on him he sounds a bit like Phil Jones, with less of shooting touch, but a better rebounder. Would like to get him.
Raw talent and size…what few colleges can offer is a coach that knows how to develop big men, we have that…and he knows putting the right pieces around a big man is critical as well…this will be a balanced team…
Desperately need some size in the 2011 class. Minutes to go around with Spears and Jones departing.
I hope we got in early enough on him to remain his favorite. He started blowing up and has some big schools calling on him.
Per discussion in the shoutbox, it’s obvious word is out on this guy’s visit this weekend.

I’m very excited that we’re bringing in a player for Major to develop, I really want to see what a “big man coach” can do with a kid like Thorne that has size and some raw ability…should be fun to watch this guy become more polished over the next few years!
