Trot Nixon, #7 of the Red Sox, takes #56 of the Yankees to the ground. When suspensions were meted out, Nixon was suspended for several games. The Red Sox pointed he was on the disabled list. The AL said he’d serve his time when activated.
That was a big deal for the Red Sox because their players were not perceived as the kind of guys who would brawl when hurt.

Greatest baseball brawl I have ever seen. Bob Horner was in the booth with a broken wrist helping with the play by play and the fight went on for so long that he had time to get down to the field and join in. Players, fans, cops. fat umps. Old Skool.
