im going to see the mlk tournament tommorrow in greensboro. this will give me a chance to see three niner prospects. karon johnson, lakeem jackson and willis hall. ive heard we have offered jackson and hall and have had johnson visit a couple of times.

As far as I’m concerned, Martin Iti does not exist. I was not here during the “Iti” era, and I am glad I have only sparingly witnessed his amazing play.

i just got back from the mlk classic. here is my scouting report on the three players who are supposed to be niner prospects.
willis hall charlotte christian-6’5" pf. the guy hustles but is not an a-10 caliber player. too small for the pf not quick enough to be a small forward. decent shooter but not good enough to make up for his lack of size. more of a big south or southern conference level talent. i hope whoever said that we have offered is incorrect.
lakeem jackson christ school-6’5" sf. really liked this guy. reminds me of wilderness. college ready body. athletic(had a couple dunks) really hustles, not selfish, good defender, good passer, very good rebounder. only problem is he is not a great outside shooter.
karron johnson mount zion- 6’8" sf. if we land this guy then i will be dancing across my living room. plays a little like beasley(in a good way) really athletic(had two sweet alley oops and i only stayed for the first half so he might have had more) college ready body, excellent passer. you could tell if he wanted to turn it on he could have gone off.
i was upset that neither bobby nor any of the staff was there since we are trying to land these guys. i saw paul hewwit, mike brey, tommy amaker, dino gaudio, etc. there.

Weaknesses are listed as Ballhandling and Speed/Quickness. Those are pretty important to shooting guards, especially in our system.
