Never ever seen a non obese person while dining at Speedys. Just an observation. Dont hate. Lot of businesses did not make it out of that widening in Lexington. Shame.

I don’t love or hate it. I’ll never say no to it, but never really go out of my way to eat it either. I’m pretty much a classic pizza guy. Give me a standard greasy pepperoni slice over just about any other style 9 times out of 10.
I love a good pepperoni pizza too,but i love MMs Buffalo chicken, bacon and ranch pizza.
Not a fan of mellow mushroom. And I hate they don’t serve fries. Serving potato chips with subs is just lazy.
They might not have fryers in their kitchen.
Really do not like their crust. It’s not awful, but it’s almost the opposite of what I’m looking for. Way too doughy and tastes like wheat.
But why not? They have ovens. There has to be good markup on fries too.
My go to pizza place is by Alino Pizzeria in Mooresville

JD’s Smokehouse in Rutherford college (a new location in lenoir just opened) is worth the stop. Only open on Thursday Friday and Saturday.

Italian family owned. They imported their ovens from Italy as I understand it.
It’s good. Neopolitan style, if that’s your thing.
They had a location at Concord Mills, but it closed last year.
They are at one end of Merino Mill. At the other end is Barcelona Burger & Beer Garden, which I have been meaning to try. Supposed to be very good. Oddly, that place also sells rotisserie chicken and other items you might not expect based on the name.

I dont go there for anything but pizza.
On a sad note for this thread, has anyone ever eaten at Speedy Chef in Mt Airy? It was a staple for us growing up but has now been sold.
