Same thing happened when the MTV Campus Invasion Tour came back in 98 or 99. In the print advertisements as well as the MTV on-air advertisements they said it was at UNC.
I recently had discussions with 2 companies about going to work for them. I had exactly the same thing happen at both places. Someone at each company (fortunately, neither would have been my manager) looked at my resume, saw the âUniversity of North Carolina at Charlotteâ, and quickly replied âOh, I see youâre a tarheel fanâ.
When I pointed our the âCharlotteâ to them, one of them actually said âHmmm, we donât hear much about them in this cityâ (and yes, this took place in downtown Charlotte).

Then it got worse, Campbell, yes campbell. I thought I had surely hit the bottom.

Out of curiosity, did you ask if they expected to get any âCharlotteâ rugs in? I would love to know their response.
i say they do a test to see how much we learned in college and give some of us the chance to market our stuff - i dont think it could get much worse, and it would be a fun projectâŚ
