Caught the end of the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Kudos to NBC Sports announcer Leigh Diffey - fresh from calling T&F events in Paris - for noting that race winner Harrison Burton is from Huntersville and not the QC.
Anyway, marks 100th win for Woods Brothers Racing at Daytona and gets Burton into the playoffs. Not bad for a driver who’s been dismissed by WBR for legit underperformance reasons prior to tonight and will be looking for a new ride in 2025.

I hope they redo the track. Even in its hey day it was a boring track to see a race.
They repaved recently, The trucks at Wilkesboro were a load of fun last year. Will be curious to see how they run at the Rock.

Back when it was the Winston Cup Series about 30 years ago, a writer for the Observer, probably Tom Higgins or Tom Sorenson, pointed out the only drivers who smoked were Dick Trickle and Kyle Petty.
