If we went 6-1 in the last 7 games (with the lose to either Wake or GW), 20-9 record overall, finshed the season 9-1 in the last 10 games, 10-3 road record, 2nd place in A-10 regular season, and got to the conference tourney semifinals or finals…
Are we in or out?
My thoughts- It would be a heck of a run after the beginning of the season, but I am not sure the RPI would get us in the tourney. The road record, strong finish, and 2nd place in the A-10 would definitely catch some attention.

If the season ended there, we would be in.
But if we go one-and-out in the A-10 Tournament, then we could be out for NCAAs.
I think we almost have to presume a loss to GW. So I think that if we make it beyond Saturday @ Wake, 20-9 is possible. If we don’t, then you’re looking at 19-10 and that would take a deep A-10 tourney run/championship.
I would love to see it happen also,but our RPI #100 even after the win over Temple is going to make it tough.Let’s take care of Wake saturday and go from there.One game at a time.
Wins @ GW and @ Wake are almost musts right now, we need them because our quality wins right now consist of Davidson and… A huge finish and a run in the A10 tourny would put us on the bubble. The best possible way I could see this turning out is making a huge run, and having Temple knock GW out of the A10 tournament and beating them, Xavier or St. Louis in the A10 Championship.
As of right now we have 3 quality wins in games versus Temple (Home), St. Joes (Away) and Rutgers (Away). We have losses to two ranked opponents (although Indiana will probably drop) George Washington and Indiana. We will get another shot at GW. A win their would do wonders for our resume. Wake could be a quality win depending on how they finish but it’s looking less and less of a resume point. We have bad losses. Lots of them. Wyoming, Miss. St, Richmond and Valpo (all RPI 100+). However we have no losses to teams with 200+ in the RPI which is a good thing. Overall we need one or two more quality wins to get us in the tournament if we win 20 games and finish strong. This means we are going to have to beat either Xavier, GW, St Joes, St Louis or Temple. The good thing is that we have a shot at 2 of these guys in the regular season and will probably get another one of them if not more in the tourney.
Right now we need to make sure we finish 2nd in the conference and pray that it’s us v. GW in the finals. Otherwise our pastry OOC schedule will hurt us (To Bobbys credit nobody knew that Wake would fall so far, probably the same with MSU).

very optomisstic but cincy NEVER considered us a rival. i don’t think they even remotely care if we play xavier in the championship game.
I think we have a chance to go 6-1 in the last 7 games with a loss only to GW being acceptable. we are a great road team this year so lets hope we can take care of Wake Saturday.

Winning at Wake will not help that much considering the season they are having (although it will really hurt if we lose). In my opinion, lose another game and Charlotte’s already faded hopes are gone.

This is a bizarro year. In years past 20 wins wasn’t a huge factor based on a strong RPI, this year we can get 20 and our old friend RPI will kill us.
