New MBB Head Coach search

We could actually probably get Keatts for pretty cheap if he wanted to coach again. His buyout from state will help us as he’s getting paid anyway

This exactly. 18 wins is not good

Nolan Smith seems like a solid hire. I didnt realize he was a HC this season taking a team to the tourney for the first time in 30+ years…thats impressive.

We,need to find out if that Elias tweet is accurate. That would be HUGE!

My vote is Keatts. A lot of experience here in NC, at State and Wilmington. I have to assume there is a relationship he has made with high schools across the state to recruit for all those years. I looked at his rosters and they’re quite full of local talent.

He acquired a kid that later went to the NBA in his last year at Wilmington. Then two more while he was at State (not including grabbing Burns from Winthrop who is now in the G-League). The last anyone we had who made it to the NBA was Jahmir Young and before that was Eddie Basden.

The only hope Niner fans have had over the last 20+ years… the period between firing and hiring a new coach.

It’s such a great feeling.

Hadn’t thought of Ford since he was pink slipped by Saint Louis two years ago.

Many of these “in the know” Twitter posters just throw shit out for clicks. Hunter said the AD isn’t talking to anyone.

I go to about 1 or 2 UNCW games per year. I am not a fan of Siddle’s coaching style. Ball movement is minimal and there is a lot of ISO. I think his success comes from recruiting better than his conference mates. I think better opponents and schemes will stifle his offense. I’m often wrong about these things, but I don’t he’ll be so successful in a better conference.

Well, if Siddle lands in the American, won’t have to worry about the better conference thing.

I get that they’re both one-bid leagues, but the CAA doesn’t have anyone on caliber with the top of the AAC.

AAC is much better positioned to be a multi bid league if the teams can get it together, schedule better, win more. Lots of TV exposure, more money. The league is actually underperforming in basketball right now.
