Yeah, that was a whippin’. Sabres didn’t have it that easy and they had a war on their hands but escaped in OT. Both games tonight…should be good. I’d thoroughly enjoy seeing a 2-0 lead in both series.

6-0.
That’s what Satan gets for turning his back on God.

What the Sabres had, is complete luck, and therefore complete momentum. They got outplayed tremendously, Miller had a horrible game, got a couple of lucky breaks, goals with 2 minutes, 10 seconds, and just into OT…Ottawa gave them this game, and now the series is theirs for the taking already because of it.

NM

Go Canes…Go Ducks.

Awesome win tonight for the Canes…

NJ went up 2-1 with 20.7 seconds left of a fluky crap goal, then Canes tied it with 3 seconds left with goalie gone, and won it in OT on a breakaway…

Also a good win by the Sabres, Miller was awesome.

The Canes game ranks up there with the Benny Moss comeback for me… but I was able to get back to my seat before OT. My buddy and I were a little distraught when Gomez put in the goal with 20+ seconds to go because we had seats next to his girlfriend who was talking smack to us during the game (friendly gal though). We were stopped by a restroom break on our way to our car when Staal put in the game tier with 3 secs and we were able to get back to our seats for OT win!!!

i got tickets for game 5…hopefully i wont have to use them

Sometimes I'd rather be lucky than good. They have been both in the first two games of this series and thus are 2-0. They also happen to own Ottawa in the playoffs so it shouldn't be surprising. I think the Sabres have won 7 or 8 straight against them in the postseason. Miller was definitely spectacular last night, grabbing 43 saves. He should definitely get the start in the next two games. This series should be sealed after winning the first two on the road. Going back to HSBC down 2 will be a tough task for Ottawa.

Canes played great as well and it’s starting to look more and more like Sabres/Canes Eastern Finals. Anything can happen though so I’ll feel better with a 3-0 series lead for both teams.

When we hit the miracle shot to tie w/ 3 seconds, I thought that is Stanley Cup material.

Exactly. When a team wins games like that, you know its not for nothin…

Cam Ward and the Canes keep on keepin on with another win… Time to finish the Devils on Saturday afternoon!

PING! <the sound of the puck hitting the post on a 3/4 rink flip “shot” late in the third on an open net>

I don’t think I heard anyone in the NJ crowd breath until the puck was cleared from the crease.

Carolina to play a damn solid Defensive 3rd period to win again. CANES 4 THE WIN.

go canes!

since the canes are in Raleigh, ill pull for them.

Barring a complete meltdown, it’s looking like a Sabres/Canes final which should be spectacular. Sabres seem to be playing better defense with each passing game and did so last night without Kalinin. Not sure the Senators are gonna have the heart to bounce back tonight in Buffalo. I’d love to see this series end with a sweep.

Canes were solid once again. They have done such a great job at capitalizing on power plays in the playoffs. I’m glad that the games are on different days for game 4 so I can catch some of both.

I don’t think I heard the NJ crowd breathing at all…I also noticed there were seats empty throughout the game…I was bewildered…and then one of the announcers mentioned that it was one of the quietest arenas in the league…I was like…ouch…that hurts for NJ fans…but it’s definitely true…and they were saying how the team wants to lull you to sleep and beat you 1-0 or 2-1…hahaha…it was hilarious. Too bad you can’t lull people to sleep in the second round of the NHL playoffs. Nice try.

After thursday, Ottawa stays alive with a 2-1 win, and Anahiem moves on, sweeping the Avs with a 4-1 win. I really thought the Avs would show up tonight…looked like it early. Ended up bad…oh well.

San Jose and Edmonton had a nice Triple OT game Wednesday night, they play again tomorrow (Friday). Canes look to take the series Saturday in NJ…

I still feel good about the Sabres advancing, though I don’t want to see this series go to a game 7 by any means. Buffalo need to close this one out before Ottawa gets their groove back.

It definitely won’t go seven games. Neither teams have enough playoff experience. Ottawa can’t fight off the pressure and Buffalo just had trouble closing off the series. But Emery can’t win 3 straight games. They need to end that series before Hasek comes back. Because if he does, and he’s healthy, Ottawa could fly straight through to the Cup finals.

CANES IN 5.

It’s about time that they clinch a playoff series at RBC. In '02, they knocked out NJ, Montreal & Toronto on the road. Of course, round 1 this year was finished in Canada.

The local Canes fans are due, at least, one series clinching round at home.

and, yeah, since I have Game 5 tickets, I’d kinda like to use 'em.

In the other half of the East, I think that Buffalo WILL win…in 6 games.
