:blink:Yep, he fits right in.
If he can handle the ball just a little bit, has an average jumper and is willing to move his feet on defense, he is already better than Ian.

As far as Curry goes…he’s lighting it up in the SoCon. I wish the best for him, but he’ll never be an NBA player. He’s too small and too slow to play the 2 in the league and he doesn’t have the handle(or speed) to be a point. He’s also a defensive liability…imho.
i dont size is as big of an issue for curry as it used to be since he has grown to 6’3".

You just described his dad.

I question that…I saw him a few weeks ago at the Soda Shop in Dtown and he was no taller than me. I’m 6’-1". His Dad was 6’-5"
Dell was slow, couldn’t jump, seldom played good defense, but, he had the quickest release and sweetest shot (notice I didn’t say jumpshot).
I just do not think we are saving a scholarship for Harris. I think it would already been announced if we were going to give him one of the available ones that we have left. I think we are going after two inside guys for the future.
Welcome aboard Shamarr!
May I be the first to present you with this electronic gift basket…full of items that every niner fan needs.
A few bottles of bacon salt…some quench (formerly gatorade) gum, to help you with your vertical. A couple of bobble heads…and a Martin Iti poster.
Enjoy…and welcome to the family!

I disagree. They said he would work to earn it… I think they don’t plan on giving it to him this semester.

we still have one available from this season. so assuming that harris get’s that one from earning it. we’ll have 1 left to give next year.

Ah, I have everything but the Martin Iti poster. But I do have something of equal value. A Clay Aiken Bobble Head with the head detached.

my mom still has that bobble head up in a box in the closet in their computer room. asked her why she kept it. she said she was thinking about using it as a paper weight

Yeah, me and my friends were playing catch with it one night and one of them hit the head of it and it came right off (we were not drinking at all that night). Now I have it to where he is holding his own head. I might sell it on ebay to some Clay Haters.
Nothing new here but at least it’s pub in the Greensboro News & Record…

I don’t think we’ll be anything near a tourney team this year, but I see this year as the early stages of a “renaissance” type period for niner basketball.
We have a good recruiting class
We have in all our commitments
We didn’t lose an assistant
We have a young core
and for the next class we have a good freshman with one more to give
with one more to give
Victor Davila por favor.
Victor Davila por favor.
no doubt, although there are a handful of high schoolers that I would take as well.

If not, then we’ll need a REAL renaissance, or rebirth, if you know what I’m sayin’.
Sorry to bump an old thread but, am I the only one who loves the fact that Shamarr Bowden is no longer on this team? At the time he was someone who could go off for 20+ any game and I was disappointed. However, now it is clear he has no business being on an Alan Major team.
