He has seen the Lutz coaching videos, 3’s in transition and quick hitters. Need to execute like we did a few years ago, mix in some big Phil and 40 inch vertical Coley, with some Gaby “all he wants to do is dunk”.

Oh, no. If I were trying to label him, I’d call him the next Marcus Bennett, not the next Chris Sager. I don’t know anything about him, honestly.
VPI offered him a scholarship too, though. And then said he probably wouldn’t play much. Kinda like we did with the juco kid (Whitehurst?) we recruited last year (yes, i know ‘injuries’ were involved).

I’m not implying anything, just saying. I will hold judgement until the kids steps on the floor. most of the stuff I am reading seems good, but his list doesn’t look impressive.
Beating out Tech, Vandy, and UNCW for recruits is still better than beating out Davidson, Elon, and App State.
I hope it is made public that he decommitted from Tech BEFORE the shootings.

That’s what I had heard as well. Either way it wasn’t what he wanted. And Davidson has shown what can happen when you give him PT.

Who did you hear this from? Because if it was from our staff, I would expect that they used this info to recruit this Bowden. It’s a good argument to get a kid thinking about spurning the ACC for a mid-major. Wouldn’t that be justice? We benefit from something positive happening at Davidson. It’s also noteworthy that Davidson is just a stone’s throw away from Charlotte. That could inspire area players to stay nearby to play 49er ball.
