Where is the CBIology
Fortunately we will be rewarding our coach with a contract extension for another job well done. And next year we’re…ALL IN

Apparently, the A10 has decided to not participate in that tournament, so its NCAA, NIT, or bust for us.
And your mine shaft give yourself shaft
Machiavellian killing in time lapse
Unfashionable pure become fewer and fewer
And if you listened if you paid heed
It’d be a sad day indeed

how do they put nc state ahead of us?

ACC v. A10 maybe… I was thinking the same thing… but St. Joe’s got a decent seed.

Good. Why would anyone want to do that tournament? What a joke.

Good question… NC State is in last place in the ACC, has lost 7 games in a row, and could potentially finish with a sub .500 overall record. But they are in the ACC.
With the A10 not participating in the CBI, we will not have the opportunity to put another banner up in Halton this season…

From a strictly RPI standpoint, as of this moment we would be in the NIT. Count in our quality wins, and there is no reason we should be excluded. Not that I PARTICULARLY care, although it would be nice to beat NC State.
And honestly, I said it last year… winning the NIT is better than sitting at home. I almost dare say with only losing Lee that its better than a 1 and done in the NCAAs, not for the exposure so much, but to show the young guys they can win in post-season play.
And I am a SOLID SOLID SOLID believer that the winner of the NIT is NOT the 66th best team in the country. It takes a lot to win a post season tourney.

Pessimist.
Sure we can.
What about “Paradise Jam Participant”?
What about “2008 Hornets Nest Trophy Champions”?

its time for the 76’ 77’ repeats!

I don’t know about that… The NIT now takes all of the regular season conference winners if they don’t get in to the NCAA tourney, so there are less “at large” NIT spots available. With an RPI of 96 right now, I would not say we would be in for sure.

Really?? We have teams like St. Bonna in our conference and this is where they draw the line? More playing time??

Lets add to that:
“Victorious .500 Record vs ACC teams”
I will agree that playing in the NIT isn’t a bad thing. Frankly we need all the expereince we can get and a run into the NIT could give us momentum going into next season. I have been very frustrated with the past month of play but for us to not make the NIT now? Wow, I would have never guessed that going into January.

It’s not, the winner of the NIT is generally around the 35-40 best team
Seriously…wtf, can we talk about NCAA instead of NIT? This is depressing.
We have lowered our expectation to a point where we think playing in the NIT is not a bad thing? Come on guys, there is still A10 tournament, bobby and the boys just need to work their magic.
I would like to eat these words but…we will be lucky to win one game in the A10 tournament. Bobby’s magic? I think it disappeared. When was the last time we did anything, in any tournament? CUSA about 5-6 years ago? I’m ready for this season to end. It is depressing hearing all the talk about the NCAA tournament and March Madness and knowing we won’t be a part of it again.
