No NIL...you get this

We also had judy making the hires, snd she hired major and price. That might have had something to do with it.

Bad leadership, unconscionable decision making. That’s where we diverge from our peers.

Maybe we win in the future and maybe we can find a way to build on it, but it won’t be with any of my money. I’m not donating to this mess thru the AD and I’m not giving college kids money to play a sport thru a collective while our students go into debt to finance the show. All my money will be gone to other sports.

Students shouldn’t be paying for this and it’s insane fans are being expected to kick in NIL

Why can’t we be the best of the rest? Wouldn’t that make up top75 and maybe even top 60?

“In Fearne we trust!”

Oh yeah…the coach that Mike Hill was forced to hire…because the team threatened to leave. So we basically hired a coach for the primary reason of preventing a mass exodus…and yet we still had a mass exodus…with a “significant” NIL.

Yeah…things look great for building a consistent winner.

SMDH

We hired him because he earned the job. He was left shit and finished 3rd in conference. He was not hired primarily for player retention

Fearne seems to have an interesting approach now. Notice all his guys from the portal are in their last year of eligibility. Experience and these guys seem to be wanting one last chance to win. We won’t have to worry about the drop off late when guys have already decided to enter the portal. I bet Fearne can do something with that!

Damn dude, most everybody had a mass exodus. It’s not just us. It’s the way it is. Does it suck? Sure. But stop acting like we’re a pregnant nun.

When Ron left and we were interviewing candidates…Mike Hill said himself if we would have hired someone else, most of the roster would have left. Fearne has even talked about how the guys “fought” for him to be hired. It is common knowledge that he was given the job as opposed to hiring someone outside after Ron left…to keep the team in tact.

Why are you acting as if this never happened!? It absolutely 100% happened.

Now…all of those guys that “fought” for Fearne or else they would leave…left Fearne anyway…WITH US HAVING AN (substantial) NIL COLLECTIVE

And yes…other programs are dealing with this too…but my point remains…HOW THE HELL DO YOU WIN CONSISTENTLY WHEN THIS IS THE NEW NORMAL???

You can’t.

THat’s my point…it’s really not that difficult.

Then just walk away !
Thats not so difficult either.

Not trying to be a douche here, but the NIL and Portal are relatively new. We’ve sucked for 2 decades.

Hell, the last two years have actually been a couple of the best in said 20 years. One could make the case that turnover has actually been better for us. But it does still blow, that I agree with

I agree, very small sample size but Fearne may be good at this high turnover world.

It started out one and done for the blue bloods and NBA. Now everyone is one and done.

Things are moving so fast with NIL that last year when Fearne was hired seems like 10 years and was a totally different atmosphere than right now. Probably going to get crazier over next couple of years before it levels out.

Will be interesting to see how the resolution of House v NCAA affects the overall landscape, as well as the lesser publicized Fontenot v NCAA - both of which are scheduled to go to trial in January. Does look like House could be resolved through negotiations. Though both of these anti-trust lawsuits are targeting the P4 (ACC, Big Ten, Big XII, and SEC), got to think the outcomes will reverberate throughout D-I.
