North Texas Postgame

Great offensive showing with 14 made threes. Defense was porous at times but that is the norm for this group.

Jackson had his best game as a Niner. Made several three pointers and attacked the rim. Several nice assists as well.

Davis, White and BO were all solid. Ajukwa was in foul trouble but was productive when he was in there.

Vanhook had a nice effort since his lack of size didn’t factor in against North Texas.

What is going on with Washington?

^JC Washington is transferring.

Good offensive game. Team looks great when moving the ball and knocking down 3s. Several players looked good out there. I like we had an early 20 pt lead and didn’t take the foot off of the gas.

Q Jackson 0-9 3pt for the season and then 2-2 tonight. He also hit 3-4 FT after being a 42% FT shooter so hopefully this game is a building block for Jackson and not a fluke. 17 points tonight.

The Coach Price bobblehead looks good. The skin initially looked too pink but not bad.

Is he actually transferring? He isn’t any good. We better recruit a PF and a C preferably freshman options there.

This is such a weird team make up.

We win by 25
We shoot 70% from 3pt range…yay!
We get outrebounded by 16…yuck
We give up 20 offensive rebounds…how?
They have 13 shot attempts than we do…seriously?
We dominate the turnover margin (21-11)…yay!

We either dominate a stat line or completely blow at it.

But…if we can shoot 70% from 3pt range the rest of the year and win the turnover battle 2 to 1 each night…we just might can win CUSA 3.0!!!

I’ll take the 25 point win and being tied for 1st in the conference. North Texas looked like they were never in the game, which could be due to the packed arena and raucous crowd. To me the best news was us never letting NT back into the game once we established the 20 point lead.

We played this game about the same as our other games this year with the exception that we made most of our shots. Our defense and rebounding still have a long way to go.

There were at least 3 possessions where they tried to tip in a close miss like 3-4 times. That stat is kind of misleading.

C-USA, we’ve missed you.

Why is he transferring? Did I totally miss this?

Apologies to Bill Walton, but that was the worst basketball game in the history of basketball. We aren’t very good and North Texas blows big time.
Refs were putrid.

On a positive note, Judy had a new hair style! ;D

A blow out win to open conference play and NegativeNancy.Net continues? The first half was the best I’ve seen us play this year. Go Niners!

This game was not what I expected. I thought that with the big layoff we would come out a little flat. I was wrong I am pleased to say. I stand by my previous position that this team is a top 4 team in CUSA. If they can come out on Monday with a good showing against Rice it would be great.

Another great game for Davis, Thanks for the Picture Jon

Why is he transferring? Did I totally miss this?[/quote]we don’t know, but he was benched the previous game. Maybe he didn’t like that.

Transferring after 9 games?? Maybe this is for the best. Maybe his scholarship slot can go to someone who actually wants to commit to Charlotte and stick out tough times.

Coach said from.the beginning he would not deal with head cases and from what I saw from JC, that could be the problem.
Not a D1 talent.

I hope JC looked around and figured out that Ajukwa and Garvin were going to outpace him for the minutes, and that he has met a/some recruits that we don’t know about yet that would keep him on the bench. Other than that, he hasn’t been here long enough, or done enough on the court, for me to really miss him. I do wonder what the JC stands for. Jimmy Carter? Julius Caesar? Jiminy Cricket?

Considering he didn’t play after the grades came out could that have been the issue? He is already off of the team’s roster page on the Athletics website.

Effort was lacking in several games and he was put on the bench, pouted and went home.
