Was my guess as well.

The placement of them seems too random and deep to be sprinklers. My guess is theyâre pipes they drove last fall looking for bedrock.

Haha also my thinking as to why it wouldnât be sprinklers.
Damn this webcam is fucking baller. I donât even feel like I need to go down there and see it anymore lol. I zoomed in and looked at everything I wanted.
Messing with those webcams gill linked has me spoiled tho. I keep wanting to turn this one haha. Nonetheless only thing that could really make the cam better is more refreshes.
Question for you âconstruction guysâ. How long will all this âgroundworkâ take. In other words, when can we expect to see the stadium itself start to rise from the ground? September, October, November⌠??? ?
They still havenât dug out the bowl yet. They lay sewer and water pipe first. Remember, weâre putting in the âinternalâ infrastructure for a 40,000 seat stadium. Iâd say till end of summer before construction of the football center begins in earnest.
It runs from Feb '08 to Sept. '09. I tried to get a feel of the timeline by the changing seasons, but itâs pretty hard to tell. From the snow at 3:38, thatâs probably around Feb '09
âGroundworkâ tends to drag. Our groundwork will likely be different from theirs, though. For one thing, I doubt youâll see any pile driving equipment given our shallow bedrock. Which is a good thing, actually.
Once you see the framework rise from the ground, the speed seems to really pick up. Anyone who has ever driven past a construction site on a regular basis can vouch for that. Note the speed of Akronâs construction once it âstarts to rise out of the groundâ, especially when you think of all the s*** thatâs going on.
