This is exactly what people are talking about. Why are we always behind or lacking in marketing or sharing any facility updates. It is always way late or never. We have to run reconnaissance to figure out what’s going on. What’s the harm in a small press release with a few photos??!! I feel like our fan base is starving for anything exciting these days.
It’s okay man! One day we’ll get a press release, probably from the company that installed it.

I get the beef at times with the lack of communication, what I can say though is that anytime I have emailed about an issue I have received a response promptly.
In this case they could have made a post with a crane and teased something on social media.

The point is that some things should be automatic and not require having to email someone over. This scoreboard stuff should have been a slam dunk and instead was a turnover at halfcourt.

I don’t want an email from Mike. I want a press release or an article on Charlotte49ers.com, which apparently every other athletic department in FBS can somehow manage to achieve but we can’t. If that makes me "Wine"ier than Napa Valley so be it.
It’s the details that are important. If you can’t get the little things right you’ll screw the big things up every time.
The ironic thing is that they are always quick on the draw to flood your emails, social media threads, etc about deadlines for giving donations or increasing your donations to 49er athletics. I have had two or three emails over the last week and they are all over LinkedIn. I’m not on Twitter and Facebook, but I’m sure they are. So someone has the ability and skills to do such things, unless this isn’t an upgrade and is simply a replace.

This stuff here is easy mode. They screw up easy mode. You almost have to willfully screw it up to screw this stuff up. Everyone can take high quality photos on their damn iphones and samsungs. Fire up Word, download Grammarly, type up a paragraph with info the contractor gave you 2 years ago, and fire the damn missle!

You guys are exactly right. I emailed Mike during his first year here about how i thought we needed to update and improve our facilities page on the athletics website in order to highlight our great facilities. He replied with something along the lines of “they would be doing so”. Long story short, the facility page still looks the same and is very out dated. If you are interested, look at a handful of our peers facilities pages to see how we compare.

An indoor practice facility for the Niners is not getting much chatter but this is a big need. Not as big as stadium but as soon as they sign the dotted line on the expansion the focus will turn to the IPF.
UNLESS the plans already called for that? Is that part of the Evergreen project?

Coastal’s football program is a decade older than us, but the resources of Conway/Myrtle Beach <<<< Charlotte. I believe it’s a VERY doable thing to get an IPF before 2030. Especially now that Evergreen will be an on-going process, not a one time fundraiser.
Indoor facility is in the Evergreen plan, but down the list a ways.
Hill has said on at least one occasion that they would go ahead and build it if someone gives the money for it.

I think we have a donor that will match significant amounts. I heard it was a lot of $$$. So take out the checkbook and start writing.
