Iā€™m not happy with the way things are but hiring Fearne wasnā€™t a backup move. When a douche bag leaves a basketball program high and dry in June, it was the only feasible thing to do. Period

I want to believe in Fearne. I hate that we lost the guys we did, but I think we could have a pretty good team this year. I donā€™t know about ncaa tournament good but I donā€™t think we will be trash. Iā€™m just not sure if we will be a .500 level team or a 20 win team.

Iā€™m eager to see how everything comes together.

Slam Dunk in February? Basketball is sitting at the bottom of the American with a 2-10 conference record. Again, DEAD LAST! February is on fire though with the Niners starting the big love fest month at 1-3, with the lone win against baseball school rice. Slam dunk must equal GOLD STANDARD

Yep, Rice had a nice run in baseball for a couple of decades, which coincided with Wayne Grahamā€™s tenure as coach. He just passed away in September.

After an exciting 2023-24 season which saw our menā€™s team in the thick of the conference championship race, this season was a disappointment for us all ā€“ players, coaches, administration and fans ā€“ and did not meet our programā€™s standards. While our young men fought hard all season, the loss of key personnel from the prior year was devastating. With NCAA rule changes imminent regarding institutional NIL, we are fully committed to providing the resources basketball needs to compete at a championship level. Coach Fearne and his staff are working tirelessly to build a winner that Niner Nation deserves.

Will be interesting to see how that works.

I remember it well. First time it had really been fun to come out to Halton in quite a while. Yes, we stumbled at the end, but it was a nice ride for the most part and felt good to be relevant again.
