OT: VG

Bennett and Alexander will give us two experienced, athletic fill ins for Basden and Plavich. Curtis and Martin havent exactly been tearing it up, so neither one should go NBA…Martin might (obviously not a great decision maker), but he wouldnt be a big loss as Nance is certainly capable and Coleman might be next years Nance.

At the very least we should be crazy deep next year. Dont forget Lewis adding to our guard depth for next year. We should run all up and down the court with that kind of manpower. Future is very bright.

I have never seen Bennett play outside of Midnight Madness, where he was absolutely sickening, and two pick up games with other guys from the team.

He torched Eddie in one pick up game so bad, I think my jaw is still stuck to the floor.

According to members of the team, Bennett’s overall game is undeniable, he can score and is a good defender. He has an outside shot, but loves to attack the rim. Sort of like Leemire, only a lot better. Bennett is a guy who wants to go to the NBA, I don’t know if his game is that good, but one can only hope.

I saw Bennett play in Pro-am a few year ago and the guy is very good. He had 27 in one game with like 6 three. The guy has very good court vision/pass ability on the break. He is a very good rebounder to be a guard. I was very impressed with his game. Can’t wait to see him play next year.

I would love to have him right now with Baldwin’s injury.

I watched Bennett play a pick up game last week, and he was NASTY. The team he was playing on sucked, and 4 times in a row, he brought the ball up, no one was open, and he popped a 3 from about 5 feet beyond the arc. He dunked once over a pretty tall guy, and every offensive rebound was his. He’s also a really nice guy that talks to everybody, and gets good grades. And when i asked him about the situation next year between mitch/lewis/and himself, who would play more he said “Mitch and Lewis are both excellant players, but I plan on starting and getting a lot of quality minutes.”(don’t take that wrong, he meant it as in he will be better for the team, not trying to be a Memphis-Banks) Now if he will actually start over Mitch is highly suspect, but bottom line, dudes NASTY.

yeah Marcus Bennett is a super nice guy, and so is DeAngelo Alexander
