Players Leaving/Returning

Definitely hope he doesn’t go to Georgetown. Literally the worst P6 program this past season and don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Close to home and more exposure.

I wish him well and all the luck in the world. Don’t give a crap where he goes unless its a team on our schedule.

Willard might be able to convince JY to be part of the hoped for turnaround at Maryland. Not as big a gamble as Georgetown or Pitt, but still not a sure thing.

I can’t wait to see these transfer signings Sanchez has lined up. We know we’ll get 4+ transfers?

Watching player development was part of what I enjoyed about Niner basketball. What fun is it now? Do I hope they improve, just not too much? Does it really feel like Niner basketball if we rely on guys from other colleges to come in for one year and help us win a couple more games than we lose. And any year we don’t land a couple decent players, that are another college’s development, we may record wins only in the single digits.

Looks like we are losing about 2/3s of our scoring and rebounding. More if Musa doesn’t make it back from injury.

I guess we have to hold teams to under 20 next year to have a chance. Can’t wait to see that! Such excitement for next season! :face_vomiting:

It is easier for taller players to get a P6 offer. Woolridge is the odd one in the list. I am sure Jahmir will get an opportunity, but being only 6’1” will make it harder on him. I can see a fringe NCAA team taking him.

FWIW, that wasn’t an exhaustive list of players transferring up. Just a sample of those who thrived after doing so. Expect the same of JY.

One of the craziest takes i have seen on here LOL

Just a fringe? I think you undersell Mr. Young. It’s either closer to home or a way “better than fringe” team Is my guess.

If he came back, he would have most likely eclipsed 2k points and we only have 5 of those all time.

I hope you are right. Jahmir is good and has a lot of heart. I just fear the best teams are looking for taller guards.

Been trying to find small guard success that transferred up. I am sure they are there. With Kansas showing interest, it reminded me of Remy Martin. He averaged 19pts a game for ASU last year. He got a Natty, but did it really help him? He came off the bench(did start in 13 games) for Kansas and only average 9pts a game this year.

This is my concern for Jahmir.

Maybe he wants to go somewhere where he can win, play in the NCAA tournament & have a chance to win a championship. He may be willing to sacrifice some stats for the opportunity to play for a winning team where he doesn’t always have to be the savior.
