Whatās crazy is the crappy record makes it easier to lose people. If you suck but have a standout way raise to pick them off.
Yes. Exactly the opposite of pro sports. At least, their bottom feeders get good draft choices.
Shepherd had some big games in Pac 12 this year, especially at the end of the year, went for 28 & 33 in a couple gamesā¦. Could of really used him this year. I like Shepherd the guy but he was me first on offense. Plus he thought he was a better shooter than he really was. Streaky at times but not an overall good shooter.

Jahmir has some good schools on the list. I do agree he is taking a gamble. It could pay off. He had a lot of freedom in our offense, hope he gets that where he goes,

I always figured if he left, heād go back home to Maryland.
There is precedent for players leaving C-USA 3.0 and becoming an integral part of a P6 program:
Dalano Banton - WKU to Nebraska
Anthony Duruji - LA Tech to Florida
Trey Murphy - Rice to UVA
Malik Osborne - Rice to FSU
Drew Peterson - Rice to USC
Bryson Williams - UTEP to Texas Tech
Ryan Woodridge - North Texas to Gonzaga
Banton and Murphy were both drafted last year - the former 46th by Toronto and the latter 17th by New Orleans.
Hopefully JY will land in the right place.
Georgetown and Maryland have been in his ear since his first season. I expect one of those two unless some dark horse emerges.
This is going to be the new normal for g5s. Losing top performers and likely replacing them with kids that couldnāt cut it at the upper P5 level.

Why would he want to go to Maryland or Georgetown with their terrible records this year, worse than Charlotte

We gave no reason for him to stay. If we were actually good, I donāt think weāre having this conversation. And if we are, we could portal another good guard in.
The reality is that we suck. And Mike Hill has no clue what heās doing.

Regardless of their record he will get a better shot at the league from there and they donāt play in one bid league.
