There are still a bunch on ebay.

wtf is a pog?
wtf is a pog?
beat me to it.

Damn dude, there are 30 year old virgins calling you a dork.

Pogs.

The only thing I know about pogs is that ALF is back…in pog form.

Tintin

I think I do. I probably still have some slammers left.

I don’t know, my friends and I messed with baseball cards not pogs.

beat me to it.
I beat both of you to it, I linked to it in my post. Sorry i didn't make it stand out enough for you.

Jimmy: I don’t want to buy more, I’m not that devoted to a collection. now, maybe a few particular ones to complete parts of sets that I started once (oh you elusive marvel character set that I don’t have all of…)

Ahh, the Pog. I can’t claim not to have had several of those little gems…as if I
hadn’t proven myself to be enough of a nerd already. Sadly, mine are long gone…

I don't know, my friends and I missed with baseball cards not pogs.
I have 'collector' in my blood. I have a decent sports card collection as well.

At the risk of opening myself up to ridicule, here is a link to my Work-In-Progress website for my colelctions.

Sometime even I am amazed at what I have collected.

I’m not trying to make fun or anything, but please explain this one… http://kevin.harbin.googlepages.com/sporks

That Venom has boobs.

A friend and I used to give out sporks in high school. We told everybody it was Wayne Newton’s birthday. DORK!!!

They are oddities, deformed, double packaged, etc. Worth saving in my book. Well, maybe not. I still haven’t totally decided against throwing them out. It’s just easy to not throw them away and it would be impossible to get them back if I changed my mind.

That Venom has boobs.
Yes, from Earth X series where Venom is Spider-Man's daughter, hence boobs.

Dude, I was a pog fanatic about fifteen years ago. I had some pretty sick ones. I don’t think they are still around though. Some of my slammers were bad ass. The funniest part is that my elementary school (Cornelius Elementary) didn’t ban pogs, but they banned the metal slammers, not the plastic ones, but the big heavy metal ones.

:scratcheshead:

well, I guess someone bought a styrofoam with water that Elvis drank from…so I guess anything is possible.

I’ve been called a packrat on more than one occasion. But I have never heard of even a potential market for unusual/deformed sporks. But I guess it is better than collecting used sporks.

Yeah, I’m certainly not expecting to make a downpayment on a car with it or anything. It was just something I saw and they interested me so I stuck them in my pocket.

There are more expensive hobbies out there.

Yeah, I read that they were banned ecause of the potential damage of throwing them (unlike staplers?). I don't think I have any decent metal slammers, thick rubber ones though.

I think I still have mine around in my old bedroom at my parents house in Raleigh. I’ll have a look next time I’m there.

I am jealous you were able to follow the Civil War storyline as it was happening. Nothing super interesting happened during my infatuation days with Marvel Comics. I came to the party a little too late for Infinity Gauntlet and left well before House of M, Civil War, and World War Hulk.

I’m been trying to catch up through Wikipedia for months.

PS: do you know what ever happened to Darkhawk? He was my favorite, by far. One of the more unique character origins out there.

Dude! I think so too! I’m gonna try to pick up more of his series at Heroes Con this year.

I think he has shown up a little recently, with the Avengers maybe? I hope they bring him back with his own series. They got Moon Knight his own again and he was from the same time period. Though, his new series is really dark.

The 2099 series were kindof interesting, were you around for that? I’ve only been able to pick up issues as I find them.

P.S. I wish y’all would focus on the Arcade Machine rather than the sporks, it’s way cooler and I’ve invested way more time in it.
