Potential Coaching Hires

Let’s hear 'em.

1 per person. That way we don’t get the same names a million times.

Steve Donahue - Cornell

Quin Snyder

Ben Jacobson

Joe Dooley - Asst coach at KU. Helluva recruiter and has been working under the best coach in America (imo).

Agreed. I’d also at least put Wojo on the list. I’d like to see at least 5 guys on “the list”.

Brad Brownell - Wright State (and UNCW before heading to Dayton)

WSURaiders.com: Brad Brownell, Head Coach

Mike Rice - Robert Morris (asst at Pitt, Marquette, St. Joe’s, and Fordham; FU player and grad)

Jeff Lebo. Just got fired from Auburn, is from NC so he knows the area. Would be a coach with BCS experience

I have a feeling I’ll get crucified for this: Melvin

Fran McCaffery - Siena

Quinn Snyder = no. he had one decent year at MU and was then forced out.

Dooley - other than the fact he’s a psychopath, he may not be a bad coach.

Michael Jordan

… wonder if he could recruit.

great fit

Not necessarily saying this is my choice…

But it would not surprise me to see Matt Doherty shoot up on the list.

Good one! Carolina connections, NCAA bids, etc.

I’m with you. Bring back Melvin Watkins.

We do not need “name” coaches that have already failed at other universities (Lebo, Doherty, etc).

We need a young energetic assistant from a successful program eager to make a name for himself who also has strong recruiting ties.

In this market we need a strong recruiter with a powerful personality who can sell, sell, sell.

I’ve heard this about him but have no idea why it is said. What did he do to make him a pscho?

We could do worse but I don’t see this happening with Judy around.

Wat is getting kind of old too. We’re going to get a young coach.
