This is a helluva thread to use to bash former players. Reguardless of how anyones career goes here, we should appreciate the fact that they chose to come here.
And by the way, Iti averages about 15 min. a game this year. Per 32 minutes he is averaging a double double.

And about 8 fouls per gameā¦
You just said the same thing that I said. I mentioned that there was a reason why no big time college went after him. I didn't say we steal recruits from great programs, I was merely saying that our coaches were obviously in love with the rankings and not the talent. That's why we got the number one ranked center in the country. And I wasn't mentioning other players on our team; I was talking about Martin, the human clank, Iti.
You completely missed my point. I know that you were talking about Iti. My point was that I think your logic of no ābig time collegeā went after Iti means heās terrible is bad logic. Because no ābig time collegeā go after any of our players. By using your logic that means all of our players are terrible.
How in the world did Iti rank so high coming out of high school? There is gotta be a reason...
Good question. The ranking was a little misleading. He was only ranked #1 among centers, by 1 publication, ESPN. So he wasnāt a consensus #1 when you look at all of the other recruiting publications. In fact, I donāt believe he was even in the top 10 among centers of some of the other lists. Some of us tried to contact the dude at ESPN to see how he came up with his ranking but he never responded back.
My guess is that Iti was on a high profile high school team. The guy at ESPN got to see him play a single game, in which he played very well. Then the ESPN guy based his ranking off of the schoolās reputation and the one game he got to watch. Also, some scouts want to find sleepers too, so that they can say āsee I predicted this guy would be goodā. I imagine that played a small role too.
