Rest of season with Fancher

I bet we see much different play. Better defense and lineups that understand what he wants. Fancher was in Marks ear all game

If no one transfers, I’ll say I think there is no way the team would look worse. The Price offense looks like NBA with a lot of one on one. Will be interesting to see if there’s a difference.

Silver lining… we suck BUT I’m still interested to see if there is a change in this sucky 330 rpi team. So I’m more interested in this season than I was yesterday.

Anyone remember Ryan Odom?

I drove to Boone more than once to see us play a Fancher coached team. And I watched us lose twice.

I support Francher. Let’s get behind him for the rest of the season, and then we can reevaluate at that point.
I may drive out to the ECU game.

Fancher has to be better, but I would not want him long term.

Fancher is in a no win situation.

Hopefully he can manage at least one win??? ;D

I think a team of Davis, White, Garvin, Vasic, and Supica, with McGill, Murphy, and Ajukwa coming off the bench could win some games in C-USA. The question is can Fancher bring them together as a team, and get them to play to win. I will be interested in watching Monday night.

What was his record here with a pretty good roster?

He was doing as Major wanted. If the head coach is still the “head coach”, you don’t do things the way you see fit.

Fancher has been the best coach here this whole time. We will be better with him than Price. I’d say the players have known this to be true. Let’s see if he can go .500 in CUSA

Good article with Fancher describing recent events. He seems to always answer questions in a genuine way. Doesn’t sound like there was a “mutiny” taking place if the players were upset at the announcement. Now he has inherited a huge mess thanks to Judy Rose.

Fan her handled those questions as well as could be expected. He seems to be a class guy. I wish him well.

I didn’t read that as if they were too awful upset

Fancher seems completely credible.

I really liked when Price had him do a press conf 2 wk ago and his quote was “we played unacceptable”

that is the standard and language more people around AD need to use across the board

To me it sounds like there wasn’t an all out mutiny, but there were some folks that weren’t happy.

I think Judy decided to take advantage of some adversity on the team to respond to the pressure she’s feeling in hopes that it shifts the dialogue.
