There’s a pretty good burger joint by the hospital that’s got a bangin special sauce on one of their burgers. It’s an Irish place I think…Mc something.

Seconded.

Angry Ale’s coming to U-City

Angry Ales is a nice addition. Hopefully some solid restaurants and bars move into the former Wild Wing Cafe and Buffalo Wild Wing spots.

I keep hoping someone will eventually bring a club back to the old SoHo East / Daisy Dukes (?) spot in the University Place Shopping Center. UCity has never had critical mass for entertainment options. It’s a lot easier to succeed when other nightlife spots are succeeding around you.

Wild Wings is gone??

You mean Buffalo Wild Wings or Wild Wings Cafe?

BW3.

It looks like Angry Ales is going in there by the Press Box and Flying Saucer?

So Wild Wing Cafe University closed TODAY? Cause their facebook page had $5 burgers and fries and $3 beers just yesterday.

Looked like it had closed when I drove by the other day. Guess it just looked that way.

I had dinner there less than a week ago. I don’t think they have closed.

This place is opening in the old Fanz / Midtown Sundries place on Harris next to ABC (was closed for like 2 years) http://www.blunotes.com

Sounds like a good concept but it seems the owners got sucked into the idea of cheap rent > location. That shopping center is far from an ideal spot for a sit down restaurant. Best of luck to them, I’ll definitely check out it once it opens.

I would guess a place like this would be a destination location. If you want live jazz/blues you are not going to have a lot of choices. It seems like there was a similar business not far from there years ago. It is now the China Buffet across WT Harris from the entrance to the University Hilton. They are gone now, but maybe BluNotes will have better luck.

Has anyone been to Rebecca’s yet (old Longhorn location beside Cheddars). We were going to go on Monday but it’s one of those restaurants that’s closed on Monday’s.
