Ryan Murphy to transfer from Charlotte

Not sure what the record is for the number of schools attended by an athlete, but Murphy has to be up there!

Ryan Murphy (@Ryanmurphhoop) who was previously committed to Tulane, has entered his name in the transfer portal.

He told me that he is back to college basketball, and won't be headed overseas. Murphy has already heard from a handful of programs.

I am not even sure how to count his years.

1 - 2016-2017 - Charlotte (Redshirt - injury)
2 - 2017-2018 - Charlotte
3 - 2018-2019 - transfer year
4 - 2019-2020 - Pittsburg
5 - 2020-2021 - Somewhere else (Grad transfer, plays immediately? This should be his last year, but 2020. He gets a freebie?)
6 - 2021-2022 - Will he go for school # 4?

CLT > New Mexico JC > Pitt > Tulane (didnt play) > ?

Jeez that seems like a decade ago that he was here. He’s a great shooter and pretty good ball handler, it’s a shame he couldn’t just settle in one spot and enjoy a fun and productive college career. I wonder what on earth is going on behind the scenes.

Duquense it is. Dukes Add Ryan Murphy to 2020-21 Roster

“has played in 49 division 1 games with 17 teams, err, starts”

He’s gonna have some awesome gear
