I know time is running out but I still canât decide what to do.
I live in Dallas so itâs very unrealistic for me to think that I will be able to make more than one game this season. I can buy two season ticket packs (for me and my lady friend) to ensure that I will be in the stadium day one but then what will I do with the other tickets?
Iâm stuck. Help.

You could get someone here to sell the rest for you or you could put the tickets for sale online.

Iâm stuck. Help.[/quote]Iâd love to see us sell two more season tickets, but if it was me I would pick a game and try to buy the individual tickets from someone. Post your wishes on this board; call the ticket office and 49er Club and play the âI am coming up from Dallas cardâ and see if they can help you. Of course if you are a member of the 49er Club you are probably going to get more help than if you are not. You could also call the opponent and buy a ticket through them. The Campbell game may be a tough ticket to get unless you buy the season tickets, but other games are probably doable. Good luck.

For Menâs Basketball, on ticketreturn, thereâs an option to donate the tickets to the Athletic Foundation. In theory, I think youâre supposed to get points for the monetary value of the tickets, but Iâve never seen that happen in practice the few times Iâve donated tickets. I get the impression the Ticket Office and Foundation staff donât coordinate with each other too much, let alone have automated systems that do it for them.
Anyway, that might be an option for football, and you could at least get the points in 49er Club⌠might even count towards annual contribution for FSL holders? Dunno. Might be worth an email to the AD to find out options, 'cause theyâre surely not going to tell us on their own. #stealth

Shout if you find out different though.
SteauA,
The only way you are guaranteed to be in that place for Campbell is a season ticket. There will not be anything available on the student side. We almost reached student capacity at the spring game. They surely wonât have single game tix available for that game. They almost definitely will later in the year, but that first game is going to be nuts. At that point, anybody scalping tickets on game day is probably going to charge you more than a season ticket anyway.

It will be SRO, baby! (If security allows it) people will be outside lining the fence, climbing trees, looking out building windows, and on roof tops on 8/31/13. ITâS GONNA be a crowd the likes of which has NEVER set foot on campus, ever.

I donât know if this is intended sarcasm or not, but the University is preparing for exactly this type of scenario. This is what August 31 is probably going to look like. This is exactly why, if you have any intention at all of being at the first game, and you donât have an FSL or a season ticket, Iâd highly suggest investing.

After the game we can compare stats from the 2 events in all categories: attendance, tailgating duration, gallons of beer consumed, number of brats grilled, loudness of the music/crowd, # of TDs scored, cheerleader hotness, and the list goes on and on.

Not trying to be sarcastic, just humorous with hyperbole.
SteauA,
Buy the season tickets
Go to the games you can
Sell the rest
And if you canât sell them then frame them and consider it an investment in the future of 49ers Football.
Youâll not regret buying these tickets ever, even if you canât go and lose money on it. But if youâre not there for the very first game youâll hate yourself for it forever.
Most folks NEVER get a moment like this one, weâre the lucky few who do.

My endorsement as well. This was why, in a nutshell, I purchased them. I wanted to be guaranteed to be at the first game. Even if I only get to go to three total out of six due to travel constraints, if I sell the other three games at face value I break even and if I cant sell them, so what. No price can be put on being at the first game.

I know all this and Iâm leaning this way, I just wanted to see the general reaction of folks on here.
Thanks.
We figured weâd pay $180 a pop just to get in the first game if it came to it, as did my parents⌠soâŚ
