Season tickets in 113, 114, and 131.

Saturday, I was going to Knights game with family and we stopped in at Bojangles at Carowinds exit. Manager and cashier both commented on my son’s 49ers hat and asked if we were ready for Aug 31. I asked if they had tickets and the manager said he and his wife were trying to pull together money to get season tix. Good to see such interest across the state line.

I love hearing stories like this. Football is really pulling lots of fans into Niner Nation that otherwise would never show the slightest interest in 49ers athletics.

1417, so 80 more sold in the last seven days.

The tix would probably be gone if we had a billboard, radio ad or something just saying Season tix $180, single game tix go on sale XXXXX.

LOL Sales plan? Not us!
Flip side, they’ve sold a very large share of those tickets without wasting advertising $$$.

It would be worth more than the cost of a billboard or radio ad if we could announce we are SOLD OUT of season tickets with 3 months until kick-off.

Besides, social media is free. A social media blitz would sell a few tickets I would think.

That is true but like many things we do, we half ass it and hope it works and when/if it does we say look we knew what we were doing. When it doesn’t we are trying to play catch up and fix things - ie the FSLs sales push.

Part of that falls on @charlotte49ers followers, are they RT’ing the info?

I remember when the ADs office was telling people that if we could sell 25K in season tickets they would be able to do it.

NOPE. That’s a pretty ridiculous statement. It should not fall on the fans to retweet info. I retweeted and spread the word to people I believed would have interest, but to say that even part of it FALLS on word of mouth is a condemnation of our marketing department and why it needs to be overhauled.

Just putting info on social doesn’t mean anything, the real value comes from your followers on twitter being interested in the info and RT’ing it to their followers who may carry the same areas of interest. Believe it or not, those that may be interested may not be following the AD.

We have only 150 tickets left from 1500+ put on sell. Why are we complaining about it again?

Like many things we aren’t complaining about the results - just the chosen path to get there.

Because that is what we do.
