Shamarr Bowden Arrested on Gun Charges!

Greensboro, NC-- A Greensboro man who plays basketball for East Carolina University is facing gun charges.

According to the US Marshal’s Office, they arrested and charged Shamarr Bowden, 22 Monday afternoon in a parking lot.

Bowden was taken into custody without incident in the parking lot of the Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA on East Market Street.

Officers said Bowden was wanted for Criminal Possession of a Loaded Weapon and Prohibited Use of a Firearm by the Rochester Police Department. The charges stemmed from a party over Easter weekend when Bowden allegedly brandished a .45 caliber handgun and fired several rounds into the air.

Bowden was booked into the Guilford County Detention Center.

According to ECU’s website Bowden plays guard and is listed as a Junior at the school.

I sure am glad we got rid of his gangster ass. Maybe Major’s sense of character isn’t so bad after all.

All of a sudden, smoking a little weed in your car doesn’t sound so bad, does it?

Gotcha.

We all knew he was a “shooter”

If he weren’t aiming for the air he would’ve missed.

That’s the problem. He was aiming for the ground.

StillJonesing is now hyping up some DII guard they’re going after to replace Bowden. lololol.

To be fair, ECU had 2 other bball players arrested in the last couple of days. Nice job over there LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBO.

WTH was he doing in Rochester? Thought he might have went home with a teammate, but no one on ECU’s roster is from NY. Sad ending to another college basketball career.

Dang I was on Market St earlier today, if I wouldn’t have known he was there I would have drove over and said Hi. Could have talked about the good ol days like the UNCA game.

i hate thugz

FTFY

To bad ESPN thinks ECU is the worst coaching job in CUSA.

Officials must’ve decided that it wasn’t a big deal since he can’t shoot well anyway.

shot 42% of his 3’s in, but hey sure you guys have a shooter like that…

Not sure what our job has to do with it clearing a guys name your ran in the mud, but I know Lebo turned down Penn State to stay here and he makes 30% more than you pay Major so it can’t be that bad. We are building him a $15 million dollar new practice facility as we speak as well.

he does got his stretching routine down though when coming into the game.
