Per this Big O piece, has offers from Duquesne and NC State.

CharlotteObserver.com: Blue Devils’ guard uses struggles as inspiration

And this Statesville Record & Landmark piece says we’ve been paying attention too (well, I’m assuming UNC-Charlotte = Charlotte 49ers ::slight_smile: !).

Statesville.com: Lester’s stock on the rise; junior expected to lead Devils this season

big time prospect, but will we have room at SG?

Could he play PG.

Sounds like he has good court vision, good passer and can get to the basket.

Not sure, all I’ve seen is SG for him.

Today’s Salisbury Post said that Charlotte,Duquense, and NC State have offered scholarships.Lester had 29 points last night against South Rowan.

The 6-foot-3 guard is even better now — and he provided visual verification against the Raiders (2-6). Lester, who has already received scholarship offers from N.C. State, UNC-Charlotte and Duquense, knocked down six 3-pointers in the decisive second quarter. Strange as it sounds, he did it off the Mooresville bench.

I was going to post something on here about this kid.

MSHS is where I went to school. Saw an article about him in the paper a few weeks ago and decided to check this out.

Wow, kid can play. He has this great ability to pass the ball around, its very natural and fluid. He looks much taller then 6’3 but moves like Derrio, cutting through defense. Although he can drive, he kept outside and took a lot of shots. I personally think his shot looks funky, but its smooth and gets to where its going.

I think he could play at pg, but with a little work he be an even better sg.

Im not good at these writeups so you’ll have to excuse me if I missed something!

Rocked 33 points this weekend.

This is the only article I could find online: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/01/22/1999984/blue-devils-hold-off-mavericks.html

I’ll scan and copy the local news papers article and post it, I couldnt find it online but it does say he scored 33 points. There is some confusion it seems as to whether he scored 32 or 33 depending on which paper you read.

Plays against W Charlotte tonight @ Hopewell in conference tourney finals.

We are losing Derrio in 2012 right, so I don’t see how people are saying we won’t have room for him. Any top 100 kid we need to go hard after, injuries and transfers happen all the time.

We have room for anyone who can play at a high level. We aren’t exactly tearing it up right now and just because Derrio will be a senior next year shouldn’t mean he has an automatic spot. I imagine he will be our best option at the 2, but if not, play the best player.

Didn’t Rose say that the players couldn’t transfer last year after Lutz was dismissed? I see there being potential to lose a few players this offseason. Namely Sirin (high probability), Braswell (medium probability) and maybe Luka (lower Probability).
