Ok, folksā¦can we move on from ripping apart our coaches and players and pull together for our post season run??? Sure we all want to be a top 10 team, win the conf tournament and be national championsā¦but only a few teams come close.
Weāre still playing. Our players deserve our support. They have busted their butts for our program. We all need to remember they are 18-22 year old kids representing our University. Itās college athletics folks. :o :o We have a good group of guys. It would really suck if they didnāt get major encouragement when they return home.
We need to show up in force Sunday night. We need to pull together. If we go down, letās at least go down fighting!!!
(Anyone else have a motivational speech in them)
Seriously, letās give them our full support and extend this season!!!
I hear ya man,and I respect what youāre sayingā¦but than I see a team like UAB,with half the talent that we have, but twice the cohones, hustle and coaching, and it makes me angry!!!
I agree with you FFNiner. Forget the past 3 games and focus on our next one, whenever and against whoever. We must have good practices and play some defense and come out ready to play. We are capable of winning several games in the tournament, we just have to want it bad enough. As fans we have to get behind this team again, not flee.

Yeah, We can't go down without a fight. I'm sure the players haven't given up on the season. It could be Eddie, Brendan and Sager's las t college game. I'm seeing us a 7 or 8 still. CBSsportsline shows us at 8 playing Miami Ohio? And then getting Wake in the 2nd round. I can see us having a chance against the Wake team that played tonight.
there is a āglass half-fullā way of looking at this turn of events, we are due to win in a major way. we are practically guaranteed 2nd round on that stat alone.
the āthink how the players feelā line doesnt hold much water, seeing as how they were out partying last night.

Exactly, weāve never been this cold going in.
I see your point but they are in college, afterall.
Youāre absolutely right. Itās stunning to see the volume of venum spewed here about the players and coaches. Everyoneās dissappointed about this recent loss and others.
These kids clearly have a confidence deficit right now and need our support and encouragement to get help back on track. Iām proud as heck of them and the program for a terrific year. We have enough talent in both players and coaching staff to rattle off a couple of wins or more.
Stay firm gang. Letās collectively pull back on the controls and get out of this downward spiral. We really can do it!

Not to rain on the sentimental parade but after getting their butt's kicked our guys were out partying. Why should I sympathize with them?
Hearing this, be it a 1st, 2nd or 3rd hand report, has me wondering the same thing.
Iām looking for someone (a coach or player) to step forward and publicly acknowledge that the team hasnāt abandoned ship. Coach Lutzās post game comments donāt count. If someone has proof of this Iād love to hear itā¦
First off, I am not aware that the team was out partying the night before the game. Help me out someone on where that came from. I think our teamās confidence is about as bad as it can get right now. My biggest concern is that if this team gets down by more then 10 in the NCAAās itās over.
I agree that we should come out and support the team at OāCharleyās.
According to the Observer, they took a 10 hour busride home from Memphis. Too costly and difficult to swithc flights, sounds like. I think we all need to rember, as others have pointed out, they are in college. Give them a break. Itās not the end of the world to lose a game.
We need to pack the place Sunday night. Weāre dancing. What time will the players be there?

guilty until proven innocent....love it!!
so what if the players let loose last nightā¦hell itās probably what they need right now!!!
A fan that accepts anything that is blown up their ass as wonderful and just what the team needsā¦I guess every school has 'em.
āitās probably what they need right nowā ?? Whatās next⦠are you going to tell me that Curtis Withers & Demon Brown were just trying to fire up the team with their off court activities last season?

I was personally on Beale St when several of the players walked out of one dance club with some little gold digger groupie girls and headed to another dance club. This was shortly before I called it a night at 2 am (central). And a few of them definitely were not of an upset mentality. This was not the night before the game, but the night of the game.

They ended up getting flights out. A bus ride was planned, but flights were arranged. I personally would have preferred it if Bobby had parked their rears on bus seats and made them endure the 10 hours. And some players were allowed to stay behind and take their planned Sunday flight. So much for getting in a practice Friday or Saturday.
