In related news two pilots have been suspended for reaching Heathrow two hours ahead of their scheduled 5 minute landing window.
Is there no way to have it self clean and just delete the older messages automatically? Definitely a question above my pay grade.

It has that functionality to auto prune, but it is generally broken with every new release unfortunately.
