Wells Fargo is the devil. I have worked in auto financing for 20 years and they literally write their own rules in auto finance. It doesn’t matter how many times they are in violation of CFPB or fair lending…they just stroke a check to pay a fine WITHOUT CHANGING THE PRACTICE THEY WERE FINED FOR.
They literally just write checks to get the regulators to go away and continue to lend money with disparate pricing practices that give them a competitive advantage (both illegal and unfair) against other banks. They are big enough to do what they want without regard for anything other than booking more loans so they can be #1 in every market…using unfair lending practices and illegal pricing.
