If Calamari doesnāt mind a pay cut, up for a challenge just to see how good he is. Of course, he could always crawl here and beg for a job with Judy.
Coaches that get #1 seeds donāt have to beg. This year is his challenge because the team has no pure shooter or a go to guy.

Yo Squid ! take it easy. It was as silly as your nonsense question donāt you think? Ya donāt like it; go back and have fun at mempiss board.
I was just thinking about the professional obituary that would be written on ESPN.com if Lutz was fired at the end of the season.
Coach Bobby Lutz, in his ninth year at his alma mater was fired this week. Lutz won 2/3 of his games at Charlotte and is the #35 on the all-time win list of active coaches. In his nine seasons Lutz led the Niners to post-season play seven times with five trips to the NCAA tournament. Lutz has graduated 90% of the players that have completed their eligibility at Charlotte and incurred no NCAA sanctions during his tenure as head coach.
Athletic Director Judy Rose stated that Charlotte could no longer put up with this level of performance and released Coach Lutz on Monday. Rose stated that a national search for a new head coach had begun and she felt that candidates for the job would respect the programās committment to winning and willingness to cut its losses.
Thank you Nugget!
I havenāt read one post in this thread, so forgive me if Iām being redundant. Lutz isnāt going anywhere unless, he getās a higher paying job, the big doners pull support or an unsavory situation threatens to humiliate the program. I doubt any of these are likely.

Bball, I will have to agree with you on this one. Right now the only āforcedā vacancy I see for sure in the A-10 at seasonās end is at Bona, though there would be quite of bit of rejoicing in Rhode Island if Jim Baron would make an āencoreā performance in Olean.
If a name on this list doesnāt do it for you I donāt know what to say:
Pat Kennedy- We have all seen how good this guy is up close. Convincing min to leave Towson will be tough
Todd Bozeman- I think the program needs to be cleaned up a bit, this is the guy.
Pete Gaudet- He has shown he can follow a legend with smashing results.
Craig Esherick- Another man not scaredto follow a legend.
Clyde Drexler- The guy dominated CUSA. It would be tough since we need him more than he needs us.
Benie Kosar- To explanation needed.
Jan van Breda Kolff - He knows the A10 anf how to work the JuCo ranks.
James Green- Just because I miss him.

I had to read this twice and Iām still laughing!
While weāre at it, I will add:
Shawn Finney - we know firsthand that he can drop an F-bomb with the best of them
Eddie Fogler - Chapel Hill pedigree. What more needs to be said?
Perry Clark - like Kennedy, weāve seen him up close at both Tulane and Miami-FL
Tom Penders - hey, if we canāt get Drexler
Buzz Petersen - another Carolina guy
Danny Nee - hey, Duquesne just didnāt give him enough time
Billy Hahn - what rape scandal?
Bob Hill - like Duquesne, if Fordham had given him another year or two, the Rams could have had a āperfectā record since they were only 2 games from it in his final season in the Bronx
Larry Eustachy - heās really tearing it up in Hattiesburg since taking over at my wifeās alma mater! Just remember to hide your daughters!
Clyde Drexler- The guy dominated CUSA. It would be tough since we need him more than he needs us.
Bernie Kosar- No explanation needed.
Jan van Breda Kolff - He knows the A10 and how to work the JuCo ranks.
I have this weird mental image of Head Coach Jan van Breda Kolff walking with assistants Clyde Drexler and Bernie Kosar to the theme of the movie āKill Billā.

I think Larry could be the one man that could force the Charlotte Observer to acknowledge that the Charlotte 49ers have a basketball team.

If I could sneak away from the wife for a night, Iād love to go run ass with that guy.
Fired from Arkansas a few years ago; Won the NCAA championship in 94ā and I believe had a very successful career besides his racial outcasting. He would be on my list as would be ex-hornets coach Paul Silas.
Paul Silas still lives here. I saw him at Costco the other day.
