I assume wherever they go it will be together. I’m guessing UCLA since it’s closer to home.
It’s a red letter day in history. The Tarholes have transfers this year and we have none. :))

I had waffles for breakfast. I figured that was newsworthy too.
You should cut back on carbs.
It’s in the Collegiate Sports Forum, it’s news because 1) you don’t usually see tarholes transferring and 2) it makes things bad for them next season, which I always enjoy.
You don’t care, that’s fine. Don’t read our comment on it. But no need to be a prick about it.
I think twins playing at the same school is really gay at this level
Gotta be hard for Socal kids adjusting to Chapel Hill…
Why do people always seem to think this? The Tar Heels have players transfer out all the time. Not as much as us granted, but still a lot. I’m sure someone can come up with specific names, but it seems like every other year they have a fairly significant player transfer out. I believe Alex Stephenson of USC was the most recent before this. Brian Morison and Adam Boone also come to mind, but I know there are a couple others.
I normally would say this doesn’t hurt them, but I believe Deon Thompson graduates and Ed Davis is going pro, so this kills their post play.
i wasn’t that impressed with their play, but they didn’t have much of a chance to develop with who was in front of them. Wasn’t one of those guys injured as well?
I doubt we go after them, and maybe they want to go “home”, but lets look at this. The timing is awesome. We have the scholarships available. They have 3 years of eligibility left.
At the end of this season our front court is Braswell and KJ, that is it. You bring two 6’9" kids who sit for a year and train with Major, who it has been stated many times his strong suit is bigs.
your 2011-2012 back court is Braswell and KJ with 2 years left, and Wear’s with 3 years left. That is pretty solid.
Arizona and the rest of Pac 10 wanted them- they arent coming here lol

I think it’s more the fact that it doesn’t happen at the level we seem to lose players. I don’t think there have been many significant transfers since Roy Williams arrived, but I could be wrong. Adam Boone and Morrison were Doh recruits if I recall correctly.
I agree they aren’t. Just saying it would be a great scenario for our scholarship situation. Really worried about our post situation after next season.
in other news… UNC will be without 10 extra fouls to give next season.
Anything that hurts their team is fine by me
The news obviously came as a surprise to the Wears' Tar Heel teammates. "Wat da hell is going on??" guard Dexter Strickland said on his Twitter feed. "The twins are leaving?..wow biggest surprise of the day so far...they my boys so all I cud say is good luck!" Added Henson, via Twitter: "its all good though, because now roy got room to bring a couple more thoroughbreds to the stable."
I know it’s Twitter but nice grammar there for Chapel Hill students. :
You obviously haven’t seen the stuff our players (with one or two exceptions) post as statuses on FB…
UNC-CH won’t miss 6.5 ppg combined. Barnes will likely average close to double that amount as a freshman. Surprised our good buddy Ace hasn’t chimed in for damage control yet.

I have but we don’t have our noses as high in the air as Chapel Hill does when it comes to their educational and admittance standards.

We should.
I’m worried about our guard situation this season. Right now, if Briscoe & Green get into foul trouble, I guess we’ll have Javarris playing at SG and Gokhan Sirin running the point.

Yeah, I dont think those twins are great, but they provided depth. Much like our backcourt, chapel hill, now only has two inside players ie no depth. So, this transfer makes me happy.
Really though, all I care about right now is us getting some guards for depth. Im not sure I wanna see JB or GS playing extensive minutes at the 2.
