Talk about a slap in the face to the 49ers new program.

I take it as a compliment. They know whatâs up.
maybe they can practice for a BCS bowl gameâŚohh wait hahahaha
It continues to amaze me how sensitive people are around here. This is not a slap in the face to the 49ers or our program. If UNC wants to scrimmage in an area where they have a ton on alumni, so be it. That is called outreach, which is an extension of marketing. I know we may not be used to that sort of thing coming from our schools AD but itâs not a big deal.
???
Itâs just rude. I donât think you see that happening anywhere else in the entire country. Should get the Normbulance out there with a tailgating crowd chanting We Are Charlotte.

FSU wouldnât scrimmage in Miami or Atlanta.

Actually, they donât have near as many actual alumni in Charlotte as you probably (and most people) think. I know our Alumni Association put out a brochure a few years back that says we have more alumni in Charlotte Metro area than NCSU, UNC-CH and ECu combined. I guarantee you that hasnât changedâŚYou may be right though, perhaps Lambert should schedule a a spring game for us up in Chapel Hill.
Coach Fedora did this at USM and heâs trying it out at UNCCH.
Their new coach did this same thing at So. Miss. He just brought it with him.
I donât really care about them being here. I more pissed off at their medical program in our back yard. I do think that they are worried that now they might have to fight for a market they always assumed would be theirs.

Whichever has more alums.
Meh, who cares what their cheating asses do? I know if I were a Chapel Hill alum, I still wouldnât cross the street to see their football team play.
F*** the Tarholes and their piss poor football program. Let them come entertain the redneck Walmart fans at a high school field. Wonât make them 1 bit better, and for them a winning season is beating Duke and State and NOT losing to ECU. Tarholes have FIVE, yes 5, whole North Carolina scholarship recruits in this yearâs class on their football team, we have 20.
clt has commented on the blog. see if you can find it.
I can understand doing this in the Charlotte area, but at the closest high school to us⌠thatâs a slap in the face. I agree with the tailgate idea.
HaaaâŚwhens the last time they beat State in football?

ExactlyâŚpiss poor football program, especially for all the money and resources they pump into it. Flagship my ass.

So, old joke, but bear with me.
A State grad goes to Chapel Hill to see the UNC-CHeat/NCSU game. He takes his dog with him everywhere and needs to find someone to watch him while heâs in the game. He takes the dog into a local bar and asks the bartender, âWill you watch my dog for me while Iâm at the game.â The bartender, naturally, responds âWhat? You must be crazy.â The man replies, âYou donât understand, this dog is special. When NC State scores he jumps on his front legs and walks across the room. When UNC-CHeat scores, he jumps up on his back legs and dances around. When NC State wins, heâll do backflips across the room and stick the landing on his front paws.â The bartender then asks, âWhat does he do win UNC-CHeat wins?â The man replied, âI donât know heâs only five years old!â
I like to tell this to any CHeat fan I come across, because (though Charlotte is not the hero) it bugs the HELL out of them. I enjoy seeing that because I loathe UNC-CHeat with every fiber of my being, whilst NCSU fans have always been nice toward me and the things they have to say about Charlotte.

Even though theyâre alums, theyâre probably not âourâ fans.
I think our marketing department needs to get on the ball.
