Good but nowhere close to Cash’s cover!

Did I post this already?

Rick Beato with a top 10 list that is primarily '90s music:

In memory of Scott Weiland, who passed away five years ago.

Something made me think of these songs!

Funky ball ass boss

That Alice In Chains unplugged is top 5. Pearl Jam is 1.

Dam that River of losses - Easy song to make a great chunky chugging sound

Honorable Drop D mentions:
Queen - Fat Bottom Girls
Zep Moby Dick- Ten Years Gone (losing)
EVH - Unchained- Sinners Swing (-½ step)

I thin Hashpipe sounds better Drop D, but I am not sure Weezer plays it that way

Alice in Chains generally tuned down 1/ 2 a step iirc.

Drop D, got to include Lay it Down by Ratt. Even if you don’t like the genre that intro riff is wicked hard to play (at least for me).

Absolutely. There are a LOT of good drop-D tuned songs by Alice in Chains, but Lay it Down by Ratt is one of my faves - and almost impossible to play.

Listening to some newer Afghan Whigs songs (former 90s greats), and cheating by listening to new stuff from 90s greats Dinosaur Jr. (with Kurt Vile on a 12 string joining in):

This remaster is quite good. They also did a lot of really interesting remixes of this legendary album, and some older songs on an album called Mixed Up that I used to and still love.

NA, great choice as a follow-up on my Niners @ UTEP weekend series inspired postings. “Disintegration” definitely described the past few weeks of CLT men’s hoops!
